The theme of this photoshoot centers around "playing cards and cat ear maid," with the overall style leaning toward a light vintage card game feel. For the maid outfit styling, I chose a classic black-and-white color-blocking model, but incorporated metal chains, ruffles, and an asymmetrical skirt hem design, adding a sharp, clean edge to the originally sweet elements. The cat ear headpiece is paired with a silver-gray wig, with the ends slightly curled, perfectly echoing the cool tones of the black and white color scheme. During the shoot, playing cards were used as the core props; the card faces scattered on the ground and the cards held in hand were all intended to create a narrative sense of a "game in progress." The white backdrop and cylindrical props are extremely clean, serving to highlight the styling details of the character itself, such as the golden pendant on the thigh ring, the lace trim at the cuffs, and the pearl necklace at the neckline. The lighting is relatively soft, and the side backlighting gives a translucent luminosity to the edges of the hair strands and feathers. Before doing this set of photos, I specifically adjusted the styling curve of the wig to ensure a natural transition between the cat ears and the hair strands, while also raising the position of the corset to optimize the upper-and-lower body proportions. During the shoot, to find the most natural sitting posture, I repeatedly tried several leg placement angles, finally choosing this pose which beautifully displays the thigh ring without looking awkward or cramped. In terms of hand movements, the focus was on controlling the pressure of the fingers holding the cards to prevent the card faces from deforming due to gripping too tightly. Post-processing involved only basic color grading, maintaining the translucency of the skin tone and the layered levels of black, white, and gray in the costume. This attempt at cosplay photography combined the softness of the maid outfit with the theatrical nature of the card elements, and the final results are even more eye-catching than expected.
