[Flandre Scarlet Cosplay] Touhou Project Fan Design: The Gorgeous Collision of Red-and-White Lace and a Golden-Haired Bear

A tremendous amount of dedication went into styling this fan-created Touhou Project Flandre Scarlet look. The core palette rests on rich wine red enveloped by cascading layers of white and pink lace and ruffled hems, delivering extraordinary dimensional depth. Wearing it required smoothing out each tier meticulously to ensure every fold draped organically. The detached sleeves were crafted with billowy volume, preserving ample wrist articulation to take mirror selfies or adjust props effortlessly. Rather than just placing the white straw hat on plainly, I customized it by hand with red satin ribbons and assorted faux blossoms, breaking the monotony of the lace-trimmed brim to infuse classical vintage flair. The plush teddy bear in hand was dressed in a matching pink lace frock to echo the overarching styling—one of my favorite personal touches across the entire build. Beaded necklaces encircled my neck, assorted bangles stacked along the wrists, while lace-up ribbons and tasselled thigh chains served as eye-catching accents along the legs.

The golden-blonde wig was styled with cascading soft waves, aiming to recreate the classic silhouette while using hair volume to support the ornate hat. Makeup was calibrated to complement the monochrome red-and-white foundation, emphasizing sharp facial contouring; even when the phone obscured the face during selfies, maintaining the overarching atmosphere remained paramount. Translucent white lace ankle cuffs were paired at the ankles with pale purple platform house slides—an unconventional mix that brought a relaxed, casual touch.

The shooting setting was staged indoors before display cabinets with glass doors packed with plush dolls and scale figures. Pink-and-white Lace Lolita dresses hung along the left, while mannequin heads wrapped in clear polybags rested atop cardboard boxes on the floor. Hanging from a curved black wall bracket in the background were diamond prism pendants in red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, injecting bouncy, playful bursts of color into the composition. This fairytale-steeped interior harmonized surprisingly well with the lavish attire.

In designing poses, I explored various standing and crouching angles. Standing with one leg bent and lifted visually elongated leg lines, which, combined with the leg straps and tasselled chains, delivered a full Leg-flattering outfits visual effect. Crouching down concentrated focus on the curve of the thighs and the tiered cascading hemline. Throughout shooting, I adjusted body angles carefully, utilizing the compact interior space to keep the framing expansive and avoid feeling cramped.

This fan-created coordination shines through sharp chromatic contrast and hybrid fabric textures. The vivid collision of red and white alongside tiered lace grants the overall build a lavish, full presence. Although the dressing and shooting workflow was intricate, seeing the final cuts proved that careful nuance control is entirely worthwhile. From tailored silhouettes to ornamental accessories, every detail strived to channel this opulent yet sweet Anime cosplay aesthetic.
