[Mornye Cosplay] Previewing the Lab Class in the World of Wuthering Waves - Image 1

Today's cosplay photoshoot is an attempt at Mornye from Wuthering Waves. Since the caption reads, "Did you preview the class content properly?" I must admit that to portray this scientific researcher, I indeed did quite a bit of homework in advance. The atmosphere of the entire photo set mainly features a sense of diligent research in a laboratory, cooperating with the blending of purple and pink shadows on-site to create a hazy feel where cyber and sci-fi interweave. Moving through the studio, although the white coat is somewhat oversized, the overall character's calm temperament and absolute focus on the experiment are precisely the core of what I wanted to convey.

Let's talk about the costume details first. This white outer coat isn't a traditional medical lab coat in its cut; its tailoring is much sharper, especially in the handling of the cuffs on both sides and the lines, bearing clear uniform and techwear characteristics. The inner high-necked shirt and that striking golden half-moon pendant on the chest serve as the focus of the entire visual, cooperating with the gradient tie hanging in the middle to bring out just the right color contrast. To restore the character's setting, I also paid close attention to the material selection of the pendant; its metallic reflection complements the adjacent silver-white rivets beautifully. The wide golden bracelet at the wrist has a substantial weight once put on, which perfectly aligns with the association of the character routinely performing precise operations or holding large-scale laboratory equipment.

The wig part is the highlight of this styling. This light grey-blue short hair is trimmed very neatly, with the bangs ending right above the brow bone, and the hair flow pattern looks quite natural. When styling it, I paid special attention to the volume at the top and the slight outward flip at the hair ends, preventing it from having that heavy, rigid feel of a wig cap, so it carries a sense of breathing on camera. Paired with the translucent red eye makeup and colored contacts, the gaze looks much more determined and sharp.

Moving on to the props. The black instrument held in my right hand is a piece of gear brimming with a sci-fi feel. Whether it's its silhouette under the reflection or the red indicator lights dotted on it, it gives the character a much stronger narrative depth. While holding it, I intentionally adjusted the placement of my fingers to simulate a state of reading data or preparing to perform an operation.

The play of light and shadow during the shoot is also a highlight of this cosplay photoshoot. The lighting set on site was relatively simple, without complex and tedious real-scene structures; instead, it heavily utilized shadows cast by diffuse reflection on whiteboards. The faintly visible blue handwritten notes on the whiteboard behind add an academic aura of preparing daily lessons or records. The unevenly lit purple atmospheric lights refract rich color layers on the wall and behind the character, which doesn't overshadow the subject yet renders a serene atmosphere for the frame.

As a coser, I genuinely enjoy this kind of theme that carries specific setting tones. Recreating Mornye's uniform from Wuthering Waves as closely as possible in reality and transmitting her character's underlying traits through the photo's texture is inherently full of fun. Although wearing the costume and wig while walking around the studio to adjust poses consumes a lot of physical stamina, seeing oneself gradually approach the image in one's mind inside the viewfinder brings an indescribable sense of achievement. Compared to magnificent stage outfits, this scientific research style outfit, which leans toward practical daily gear, demands a higher degree of naturalness in movements. In terms of performance, I didn't deliberately design too many flamboyant poses, hoping instead to match the character's research state through natural expressions.

Let's also talk about the feelings on the day of the shoot. Actually, for this kind of tech-oriented cosplay, the costume features many buckles and patchwork structures in the details, making it not particularly convenient to put on or take off. Therefore, during the shooting breaks, I basically kept my state unchanged, maintaining the character's calm, detached focus throughout the entire process. The camera shutter sounds and the on-site prompt beeps interwove together, and before I knew it, several hours had passed. When the final photos came out, everyone was quite satisfied with the overall color texture and the level of character restoration. Participating in the Wuthering Waves UGC incentive program this time is also driven by the hope of sharing some of my own understanding of the character with fellow fans who like her.

Whether it's the performance of the clothing material under the lights or the capture of the character's facial expressions, I feel this set of photos has achieved the expected effects. If everyone feels that this scientific research style outfit look has caught your eye, then this journey was not in vain. This appearance truly gave me a deeper layer of immersion into the worldview of Wuthering Waves, and I hope that after viewing it, you can also perceive that unique scientific expedition atmosphere.
