For this outdoor photoshoot, I cosplayed Marisa Kirisame (Marisa Kirisame cosplay) from Touhou Project, choosing a rocky stream bank for Outdoor stream photography. Huge thanks to photographer @Fengzi Yun for shooting the entire session.

Before shooting, preparation mainly involved styling the wig and hat. The blonde twin braided pigtails took considerable time to fix in place, using plenty of hairspray to prevent them from getting messed up by the wind. For the Witch costume, the red bow tie, black vest, and lace-trimmed skirt were all neatly worn. The white thigh-high stockings (Marisa white tights) and chunky platform leather shoes were the highlights of this coordination, though walking across large boulders in them truly tested my balance.

The broom prop was quite heavy, leaving my arms sore after holding it for long stretches. To convey the feeling of the character resting outdoors or preparing to take flight, we experimented with several poses. Sitting on a large boulder, shooting against the backlight produced wonderful results—the light bathed the edges of my blonde hair, creating gorgeous silhouettes for the skirt hem and broom. The white stockings (Marisa white tights) had great texture in the sunlight, accentuating long, slender leg lines. The standing shots were taken while balancing on one foot atop the rocks, requiring great caution to avoid slipping, while raising the broom overhead added intense dynamic energy.

This shoot placed great emphasis on finding the right camera positions under natural lighting. The large boulders provided natural visual layers, and blurring the background created a rich forest ambiance. Post-processing focused on balancing the warm and cool tones of the background and fine-tuning exposure to make the subject pop. By the time we wrapped up, I was drenched in sweat; although it was exhausting, faithfully bringing the character to life brought a huge sense of accomplishment.
