This Wuthering Waves Fleurdelis cosplay finished photoset was primarily created to provide some action and drawing references for fellow artists and hobbyists. The overall style leans toward combat and fantasy, so during the preparation phase, the focus was placed heavily on costume texture and prop presentation.

First, regarding the costume, the color scheme centers primarily on a deep blue-black gradient. The inner layer is a black bodysuit with silver embroidered patterns on the sides and a large cutout design on the back. The outer blue sheer fabric and the massive sweeping cape serve as the visual focal points; the sheer fabric features a certain level of translucency, creating great depth under studio lighting. To match the character's design, I also wore a black high-collared neckpiece, metal fasteners with golden rings, and spike-shaped metal armor on my arms.

A lot of thought went into the head styling as well. The golden long hair needed to be styled into a fluffy and flowing effect, with a forward-slanting long spike decoration right in the middle of the forehead, and a crown featuring blue thorn-like protrusions on top of the head. In terms of makeup, to emphasize an icy and detached temperament, I wore blue contact lenses, which, paired with pointed elf ear props, made the overall facial contours appear more dimensional.

The weapon is a major highlight of this shoot. The size of this giant two-handed sword is extremely exaggerated; the blade is made of a translucent cyan-blue material with built-in LED light strips, emitting an ice-crystal-like glowing effect when powered on. The hilt and guard feature a black thorn design, looking intensely domineering visually. However, due to the sword's considerable length and weight, the shoot required excellent control over arm strength to make the movements look natural and fluid without appearing strained.

The shooting location was chosen inside a pure gray studio with no excess clutter, ensuring that visual attention remains entirely focused on the character and props. To capture the best effect, a fan was used on-site to blow the cape and long hair. The thick blue sheer fabric took on different forms in the wind, and the angle of every single flutter had to be matched with shutter speed for candid captures.

In pose design, the references were primarily drawn from combat and idle postures in the game. For instance, the standing posture with both hands gripping the sword requires tightening the core to display a sense of strength. When kneeling on one knee, the hem of the cape is utilized to extend the frame. There are also a few postures sitting on a stool or suspended in mid-air, focusing on showcasing the leg lines and the slit design of the skirt. To achieve the so-called anime-style visual shock, every single set of actions was adjusted repeatedly.

For this photo set, I experimented with multiple compositions, ranging from distant views showcasing full-body actions to close-ups highlighting light-and-shadow details. As a pose and drawing reference, creators can extract the perspective angles of the sword or the crease directions of the clothing as needed during their work. The shooting process tested both physical strength and stamina, but seeing the finished photos, the presentation of the overall atmosphere is deeply satisfying, and I hope this brings some inspiration to everyone.
