This photoshoot of Iuno from Wuthering Waves is finally ready to meet everyone! The theme for this shoot was the Mid-Autumn Full Moon, and great care was invested in staging the entire scene. To recreate that cool, aloof yet fantastical oriental classical ambiance, a colossal full moon prop and pink cherry blossom trees were set up in the studio. A fog machine was used to simulate the steamy mist of a hot spring, and stepping barefoot onto the wooden boards in this blue-and-white attire instantly made me feel weightless and serene.

While shooting this set, I paid meticulous attention to controlling the details. Iuno's wig features a gradient flowing from deep blue to pale white, and the pom-poms and golden tassel hairpieces at the crown took on gorgeous texture under the studio lights. The golden embroidery on the outfit and the tassels along the collar reflected their intended refinement before the lens. The bamboo water ladle and the white rabbit props in hand were also indispensable storytelling companions. In fact, continuously holding the water ladle to keep the cascading water stream in a precise arc was quite an endurance test for my arm, but I pushed through to capture that profound sense of tranquility. Posing with both hands cradling the cup and porcelain vase looks relaxed on camera, but in truth, my core had to stay locked to keep my seated posture steady while my feet pressed discreetly to maintain balance.

For cosplay photography, while the atmosphere created by scenes and props is crucial, the cosplayer's internal presence remains the core. My favorite frame from this set is sitting on the floor with my feet dipping into the swirling mist, fully embracing that sense of release. In directing my gaze, I strived to embody the character's subtly mysterious yet gentle disposition. Crimson contact lenses paired with pinkish eye makeup popped vividly against the dimly lit background. To harmonize with the full moon motif, the composition was framed to encourage interaction between the subject, the moon, and the cherry blossoms. For example, in the shot cradling the rabbit while looking toward the lens, the angle of key light hitting my face was deliberately adjusted to soften facial contours.

Choosing an indoor studio for this shoot was primarily to gain pinpoint control over lighting and craft that hazy, late-night waterside feel. The water vapor generated by the fog machine not only added rich layers to the frame, but also softened the floor environment. Sitting by the water with the cool sensation against my feet helped me naturally slip into the character's serene state of mind. The wide sleeves easily creased during movement, so before locking in each pose, I confirmed with the photographer that the sleeves draped naturally. The white and blue color scheme inherently reflects light, so we repeatedly calibrated the light heads to ensure the blue cloud patterns and golden trim were crisply captured without losing facial shadows due to costume reflections.

As someone who obsesses over details, subtle tweaks were made to the makeup as well. The character's original eye makeup leans heavily 2D; to keep it striking yet natural in real life, we slightly expanded the blending area of the eyeshadow, which, combined with the crimson lenses, looked much more expressive on camera. Grooming the hair was equally time-consuming, particularly securing the multiple bows and pom-poms around the topknot with countless bobby pins. When shooting cosplay with rich classical aesthetics, the most vital element is achieving harmony between character and environment. Props should never feel forced: holding a rabbit or lifting a ladle needs to feel like an authentic, lived-in interaction rather than a posed prop. Through these frames, I hope everyone can feel Iuno's distinctive allure within this special setting.
