I finally got to shoot this Wuthering Waves Phrolova Sanjiueshou collaboration dress this time. When receiving the physical item, you will truly be amazed by its details. The overall look is a classic black-and-red color scheme, with a red tube top design on the upper body covered by a layer of black sheer long sleeves, which both flatters the arm lines and adds a hazy sense of mystery. A black leather waist cincher is used at the waist, which not only provides an excellent waist-shaping effect, but the glossy texture of the leather also forms a strong textural contrast with the matte fabric of the red skirt hem. The skirt hem features an irregular multi-layered design, with gold stitching along the edges of the black outer skirt panels. When walking, the red inner pleated skirt hem is revealed, offering a strong sense of layering.

To match this outfit, I also put a lot of thought into the makeup and styling. The wig was chosen in this grayish-toned mint green, featuring blunt bangs in the front, with a thick, long braided pigtail hanging down on the side, and a red rose hair accessory pinned on the right side, which just echoes the red elements on the costume. In terms of makeup, the eye makeup used red-pink toned eyeshadows paired with light-colored contact lenses, aiming to highlight the character's aloof and slightly distant temperament. The lipstick was chosen in a relatively natural color to keep the overall makeup from looking too aggressive.

For the shooting location, we specially found a set filled with red roses, and prepared a vintage gold picture frame and a black metal ring stand. That metal ring is actually a crinoline-like structure; standing inside it, paired with the red roses behind, creates an atmosphere that feels both constrained and gorgeous. The pose in the first picture with arms crossed over the chest was actually meant to match the arc of that metal ring while also showcasing the silhouette of the leather waist cincher and tube top.

The bunch of spider lilies held in hand is also an important prop; the red stamens blend with the background roses and the red dress on the body, yet stand out remarkably against the black clothing. During lighting, the photographer specially added warm-yellow string lights in the background and filled in light at the side-backlight position, so that the edges of the grayish-green hair would have a halo of gloss, bringing out the layering of the entire frame.

While shooting this set of photos, I kept searching for that casual yet somewhat melancholic state—the gaze shouldn't be too dull, but rather carry a bit of storytelling feel. The gesture of raising a hand to shield in the third picture simulates glaring light or a rejecting posture, paired with a slightly tilted-up chin; I personally love the resulting effect. This collaboration piece put genuine care into everything from fabric to tailoring; wearing it out for a shoot makes every single photo a joy straight out of the camera.
