This time, I bring you the finished set of Phrolova cosplay from Wuthering Waves. From the design perspective, her look has a very clear visual focus, which is the color-blocking of pure white and bright red. The white sheer gauze skirt hem paired with a halter-neck design, along with the slightly textured lace detached sleeves, makes the overall look light and elegant. Wearing a bright red lycoris headpiece, combined with the red laces and ribbons adorned on the clothing, instantly gives the entire frame sharp edges and tension. To fit this high-contrast setting, we specially used a deep red backdrop, a vintage leather sofa, and a golden carved picture frame for the set design, creating a dim background full of narrative feel.

During the shoot, I held a violin, attempting to utilize the prop to better convey the character's temperament—such as a slightly turned standing pose, or a sitting pose quietly sunk into the sofa—paired with a dreamy, misty eye makeup, striving to recreate her state of hidden emotions beneath a calm exterior. We repeatedly adjusted the lighting angles during the shooting process, hoping to use soft side-backlighting to highlight the translucency of the hair and fabric textures, while making the skin look fairer and more radiant in front of the lens. I have always felt that good cosplay is not just about dressing alike, but also presenting that unspeakable atmosphere of the character to the viewer through the language of anime-style photography. Therefore, this time we incorporated elements like an empty golden picture frame and vintage dried flowers to enrich the composition of the frame. Whether gazing at the red bouquet in my palm or fiddling with the violin bow, I tried my best to relax and let the shutter capture the freeze-frame that best fits the character's rhythm.

After the shoot ended and we entered the post-processing phase, we mainly made some micro-adjustments to the colors, highlights, and shadows, making the overall low-key, high-contrast style more prominent. I highly enjoy the process of meticulously portraying a character like this; this attempt to transform a 2D image into a 3D entity in front of the camera always carries a spellbinding, immersive magic. I hope the finished set from this shoot can bring everyone some unique visual experiences.
