Putting on this maid outfit interwoven with deep blue and white, I couldn't help but take on a slightly picky posture. The post is right—everyone doesn't hate exquisite pastries, but to reach the level that pleases me, it really takes a lot of effort. In order to present this Furina maid version cosplay, I spent a lot of time on restoration and texture beforehand.
First, let's talk about the details of this costume. The main fabric is deep-sea blue velvet with a luster, paired with layers of white ruffles, which not only retains the gorgeousness of the original setting but the maid apron design adds a touch of playfulness. The large blue gem on the chest is the finishing touch; paired with the matching bow choker on the neck, the overall tone looks both high-end and eye-catching. The black lace sleeve covers are a part I really like, with golden piping and hollow lace interwoven, incorporating dark-style niche elements into the classical attire.
Secondly, the makeup and hair. This white wig has just the right amount of curl, with a few strands of light blue highlights and that iconic ahoge on the top of the head, giving the styling a soul. To fit the character's ice-blue pupils, I wore suitable blue contact lenses, and the eye makeup was deepened with cool tones, striving to present an elegant, composed, and slightly tsundere expression.
For this shoot, we specifically chose an indoor setting decorated as a retro study. The brown leather buttoned sofa, paired with rows of hardbound books on the left, and the geometric patterned rug on the floor all create a classical atmosphere full of stories. Combined with soft warm lighting, the deep blue velvet on the skirt hem shows a delicate luster, and the photo output rate is very high.
During the shoot, I tried several different postures to show different facets of this costume. The first side-sitting pose is a classic elegant posture, with legs crossed and hands naturally placed on the knees, trying to convey that reserved and aloof feeling. The second one is sitting cross-legged on the rug in front of the sofa, hands cupping cheeks, showing a more relaxed smile to the lens, hoping everyone feels the cute and approachable side of this maid outfit. The third one is a turning and supporting action, combined with a slightly leaning body, increasing the interaction between the frame and the audience.
Regardless of the expression, I needed to quickly adjust my state and gaze during the shoot. Because it's a maid setting, I needed to show the diligence of a server while carrying the nobility and pickiness inherent to the character herself. This guest photo display can be considered a record of a very challenging attempt. From wig styling to skirt care, every little detail was repeatedly adjusted. The final result didn't let down the energy everyone put into the scene. I hope to bring everyone a visual experience that is love at first sight, and also hope that through these photos, you can feel our enthusiasm and sincerity for the secondary creation of the character in this Genshin Impact cosplay work.
