This Genshin Impact Odette cosplay photoshoot took nearly a month from costume preparation to set construction. While the character's costume in Genshin Impact may look simple at first glance, its details are actually extremely intricate, posing a huge challenge to the costume tailor's replication accuracy and my own grasp of details. To capture the ideal effect, I put a tremendous amount of preparation work into the pre-shoot phase.

Let's talk about the wig first. The light blue base color required careful styling; the golden circular ornament and white wing-like headdress on top were reinforced with hot glue to prevent them from falling off mid-shoot, and the hair strands were also set with hairspray. For the makeup, I intentionally chose purplish-red contact lenses, paired with pinkish-purple eyeshadow blending and meticulous eyeliner, hoping to closely match the character's temperament.

Moving on to the costume itself. The upper body features a deep V-neck blue-based bodice adorned with fine patterns, while the gold hollowed-out collar and golden geometric decorations on the chest reflect a delicate sheen under the studio lighting. The white wing decorations on the shoulders possess a strong sense of dimension, with translucent white sleeves connecting to dark blue gloves whose golden patterns serve as the finishing touch. The striking ruby on the belt serves as the visual center of gravity and is one of the most eye-catching elements of the entire outfit. The skirt hem consists of multi-layered white ruffles with dark blue edgings, creating a stunning sense of layering when walking or lifting the skirt. This time, I wore white tights featuring subtle hidden patterns, paired with small high heels spliced in gold and blue, making the overall color scheme exceptionally unified.

A lot of thought went into the set design on the shooting day. White Gothic hollowed-out arches and window panes served as the background, endowing the frame with a sacred and ethereal atmosphere. The blue-and-white floral arrangements placed on both sides formed a perfect chromatic echo with the costume's color tones. To highlight the subject, a white plush carpet was laid out on-site, and the lighting utilized soft high-key illumination to keep facial shadows looking natural. That prop sword with a silver blade and a golden hilt was also placed in a corner of the frame to add some fantastical combat elements.

Regarding pose design, I experimented with different postures. When standing, I would slightly lift the skirt hem, which not only showcased the skirt's silhouette but also naturally revealed the leg lines and the texture of the White stockings, while puffing out the chest and pulling in the abdomen to accentuate the curves of the upper body. When sitting down, I would let the body's weight lean backward slightly, with both legs extended naturally, one hand reaching forward or resting on the carpet, and a gaze fixed straight into the lens, cultivating an atmosphere that is both intimate yet tinged with a slight sense of distance. Sometimes I would also lower my head slightly or place my hand near my head, coordinating with the light blue hair strands to reflect the gentle side of the character.

The entire shooting process went extremely smoothly because everyone had a thorough understanding of both the costume and the character. The coordination between lighting and set design made the raw photos look incredible even before post-processing, successfully exhibiting the costume's fabric texture and makeup details without needing heavy retouching. Being able to present Odette from Genshin Impact in this manner was a deeply delightful experience.
