The moments captured by the sea late at night are completely different from the daytime atmosphere. As the "Obsidian Grandma," against the backdrop of the night, the overall texture instantly becomes deep and sophisticated. To restore Citlali's mysterious temperament in Genshin Impact, I put a lot of thought into the makeup and styling details, striving to reflect the character's unique charm amidst the interplay of light and shadow. The on-location shoot by the Xiamen seaside had captivating light and shadow flow; compared to the bright clarity of the day, the transitions at night feel more narrative, as if I were really in a mysterious otherworld. During the shoot, I paid special attention to the distribution of light and shadow, trying to create an atmosphere that is both solitary and magnificent. Although the late-night sea breeze was a bit chilly, the sense of accomplishment from resonating with the character at the moment the shutter pressed was very real. Each photo records the color changes at different times, from the vividness of the day to the depth of the night; this contrast is the charm of this creation. This is also a shooting style I really like; it requires control over ambient light and subtle capture of character expressions. Although a bit tiring, seeing the texture of the final photos makes it all worth it. The daytime photos have also been sorted out and I will share them with you next time, and that style will be another surprise.
