[Tomimi cosplay] Arknights Operator: Convention Lights and Live Return Photos

This time at Firefly ACG Expo, I cosplayed Tomimi from Arknights (Tomimi cosplay). The on-site Stand lighting combined with the container-style background wall completely maxed out the atmosphere. For Tomimi's wig, I chose a silver-white color with finely feathered layers; the way it frames one cheek looked even more natural under strong lighting than indoors. The eye makeup focused on the black markings beneath the left eye, which took several tries to get the thickness just right, and the golden-yellow contact lenses shone with crystal clarity when the shutter clicked. The orange light-source accessory on the chest was a highlight, casting varying halos on site with just slight angle shifts. The outfit features a black off-the-shoulder hooded design with slightly elastic fabric that didn't restrict movement too much, and details like white flowers and black-and-white color-blocked sleeves enriched the frame during platform shots.

The handheld black short staff prop was lightweight-balanced, making swinging or pointing it at the camera feel very smooth. Using Stand lighting ring fill-lights up close naturally brightened the overall skin tone, giving the silver-white hair a subtle champagne reflection under warm yellow light that echoed the large yellow typography in the background. While posing, I coordinated with the camera for several glance-back shots and low-stance poses; this Stocking outfit combining a cropped black outfit with over-the-knee black stockings, cutout calf socks, and chunky-heeled boots accentuated body lines wonderfully. The cutout straps pulled into dynamic angles when sitting or extending legs, making the convention return photos visually striking.

The makeup stayed faithful to the in-game art, where a cool gaze combined with a slight smirk softened the fierce, combat-ready readiness of the poses. Although Firefly ACG Expo had huge crowds, shooting inside the set constructed by Stand lighting was relatively calm, and the on-site staff even helped adjust caution tape positioning to keep the background clean. Throughout the session, I switched through six or seven poses, from tucked-leg seated postures to single-leg extensions; despite the sultry weather, the breathable fabric and chunky boots made holding stances comfortable. The warm illumination from Stand lighting paired with cool-fair makeup softened the transition between the silver wig and black battle gear. Angling the prop's orange light slightly to the side prevented it from washing out facial contours, so this Tomimi set fundamentally captured my concrete vision of the character.

Because I love the Operator designs in Arknights so much, wearing this costume to be documented at the convention felt truly tangible. Details on the prop, wig styling flow, and glove fit received great feedback on site. Overall, everything from makeup to the final photos achieved expected results, and with better lighting setups in the future, I might explore even more modes of expression.
