[Gladiia cosplay] Arknights: Hot and Exhausting Live Record at CPSP Anime convention cosplay

Getting up early to enter and queue in Team 2 at CPSP drained far more stamina than expected, and paired with the stifling heat inside the venue, it was truly the epitome of being utterly exhausted—hot and exhausted. For this Arknights Gladiia cosplay, the Gothic style costume naturally had countless layers: tiered white ruffles on the chest, a wide dark-blue spliced cape and voluminous sleeves, topped with the black-and-red pointed hat and long Silver hair (silver-purple wig), making me feel as if I were in a sauna. The golden spider accessories and pearl necklace details looked gorgeous, though carrying noticeable weight—especially the fish-shaped pendant below, which swayed with every step. Because of the sweltering heat, the base makeup caught shiny reflections under the lights, requiring multiple touch-ups throughout the day. Wearing colored contacts and a heavy wig while constantly maintaining Gladiia's aloof, stern demeanor meant staying intensely focused for every photo.

I had heard before that the hardest parts of this outfit were folding the sleeves and angling the hat. Since the overall silhouette is roomy, concealing the figure was comfortable, but being prone to sweating, sweat was already beading around my neck during mirror selfies. The fabric features delicate shimmering flecks, which captured beautifully under the venue lights. By the afternoon, my stamina was completely depleted; I had originally planned to shoot more poses, but eventually just wanted to find a wall to lean against and rest. Due to exhaustion, group photos wrapped up in a rush. Leaning against the tiled wall for mirror selfies while fixing my hat and hair, though dripping in sweat, seeing that the overall fidelity did justice to all that exertion was rewarding.

The atmosphere at CPSP was buzzing, yet doing Anime convention cosplay in the summer is truly a bittersweet endeavor. Special thanks to my teammates for helping carry props and handing me tissues throughout. The corset section of the costume was tied quite tightly, making breathing a bit difficult—truly experiencing the physical toll required to faithfully recreate a character. Nevertheless, being able to showcase this full gear to fellow fans of the character and feeling immersed amid the flowing crowd was what kept me going. The glitter accents on the skirt gleamed brilliantly while walking, and despite the exhaustion, it was pure joy.
