[Halford cosplay] Azur Lane Bunny Girl: The Pastel Pink Bunny of the Mid-Autumn Festival

This Azur Lane Halford Bunny girl look harmonized impeccably with the rabbit motif of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Releasing a bunny-themed shoot for Mid-Autumn felt so fitting that I decided to produce this sweet, pastel-pink studio series. The palette pairs extensive pastel pink with crisp white to accentuate Halford's sugary charm.

Looking at the costume details: the core bodysuit is an off-the-shoulder pink one-piece edged with generous white ruffled flounces, complemented by a black ribbon bow choker at the throat. The detached flare sleeves are crafted from semi-translucent white gossamer tulle, styled with dramatic gathers and flared trumpet cuffs that flatter the arm lines. For the legs, I wore opaque pure white tights (White stockings) that fit flush against the skin, maintaining smooth, even coloration even under intense studio key lights. To stay true to the character's signature accents, I attached a dark gray plush bunny tail that created a striking dimensional pop across standing and kneeling poses.

The headwear served as the visual centerpiece. The headband itself is tailored from pink-and-white lace, adorned with two tiny white bunny plushies, pink pom-poms, and black ribbon bows. Rising above are two colossal dark violet bunny ears edged with delicate white lace ruffles, providing rich structural dimension. The wig is waist-length, silver-white straight synthetic hair cut with blunt bangs; paired with crimson contact lenses and makeup that emphasized sculpted aegyo-sal (undereye contours), my facial expression resonated naturally with the pastel studio set.

The studio was staged with immense care. A pastel pink seamless backdrop paper was paired with diffused softbox lighting to cultivate an ethereal, dreamlike realm, while the floor was layered with a thick, pure white plush fur rug. Supporting props included a white Roman column, white balustrade steps, and purple floral arrangements. To heighten visual luxury, we also brought in a gilded birdcage and an antique gold-filigree vanity mirror.

For choreographing poses, we explored diverse perspectives. Sitting on the plush rug hugging the gray lop-eared bunny plushie highlighted the frontal silhouette of the suit and the sleek contours of the white stockings. Kneeling while holding the golden birdcage with a slight torso turn showcased the plush tail and the drape of the sheer sleeves. Reclining prone with hands resting under my chin focused attention on the intricate headwear and playful micro-expressions. Meanwhile, kneeling back with a finger grazing my lips or throwing up a peace sign struck a balanced harmony between coquettish charm and cuteness. The gray lop-eared bunny plushie served as our anchor prop—held close or placed beside me, its muted gray fur and pink satin ribbon blended into the scene's colorway effortlessly.

Throughout the session, managing the voluminous ruffles and oversized headpiece meant continually fine-tuning the wig and ear tilt to prevent obscuring my face or looking bulky. During kneeling takes, we kept a lint roller handy to keep carpet fibers from sticking to the white tights and compromising the clean look.
