[Taihou cosplay] Azur Lane Red & White Swimsuit in Vintage style

For this Azur Lane Taihou cosplay photoshoot, the costume chosen was a red-and-white Swimsuit design featuring generous ruffles, white lace, and a headband with plush white beast ears atop the head. While preserving the sexy allure of swimwear, the overall styling added a tender, cute visual charm. The wig was styled into straight black hair with blunt bangs, and the makeup centered heavily around the eyes—using extensive red eyeshadow blending together with red contact lenses to give the gaze an intense aura that closely matches the character. The first set of photos was captured by Wu Shunchao, and the second was handled by Hua Ti. The venue was Three Meow Classmate Photography Studio, where the entire room was decorated with dark vintage oil paintings, wooden cabinets, and crucifix ornaments. To harmonize with this backdrop, we deliberately crafted a recursive picture-in-picture composition. Specifically, I held a freshly printed photo of myself, in which I was holding yet another, smaller photo. This technique presents a major test of camera lens perspective control. While posing on the couch, I not only had to engage my core to stay perfectly still, but also had to ensure the surface of the photo paper remained as parallel as possible to the camera's CMOS sensor; even a slight tilt would distort the nesting effect. After each shutter click, we had to lean in close to the monitor and zoom in to inspect edge perspective. Consequently, I tried out various poses on the sofa, such as lying sideways, sitting cross-legged, or extending my legs outward. While lying on my side, to accentuate the fullness and smooth curvature of my Thick thighs, I intentionally bent and overlapped my legs slightly, using the deep brown leather of the couch to contrast against my skin tone. Because the outfit features off-shoulder straps and a red collar at the neck, showcasing clean neck and shoulder lines was especially crucial when posing. I couldn't slouch or round my shoulders; my collarbones had to stay relaxed while keeping my neck elongated. Taihou is characterized by confidence and possessiveness, so even on such a relaxed, lazy domestic couch, my expression needed a hint of danger and flirtatiousness rather than appearing overly docile. Throughout the shoot, I continually coordinated with the photographers to fine-tune the catchlights, making the crimson eyes radiate brightly under warm lighting. We used substantial warm rim and side lighting on set, which sharply delineated the textures of the red-and-white hemline and lace against the interplay of light and shadow, and since the skirt spread out broadly, it occupied a significant visual presence across the couch. In terms of props, beyond the picture-in-picture photo paper, we also utilized a slender rod adorned with a white plush pendant and a yellow plush bird doll. Nestled in the corner of the sofa, the plush bird perfectly counterbalanced the darker vintage undertones with an everyday touch of cuteness. Bathed in the red background and warm illumination, the overall color palette turned out exceptionally rich, allowing this set of Taihou images to achieve wonderful visual impact in both brightness and saturation. By the end of the shoot, tossing and turning on the couch left me a bit sore and achy, but seeing the final recursive compositions made every bit of effort spent adjusting perspective and posture completely worthwhile.
