[Salter cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Summer Amusement Park Photo Sharing

Shooting this Salter cosplay photo set took place in midsummer at a pool by an amusement park with ferris wheels and roller coasters in the background. To match the unique, stern aloofness of the Fate/Grand Order character while keeping the refreshing summer theme, I wore a light blonde wig with blunt bangs and red contact lenses. The wig was hard to maintain in the intense heat, requiring plenty of setting spray. For makeup, I deliberately accentuated the winged-up eyeliner and applied a very pale base foundation to sculpt a cold, intimidating visual impression. The outfit was a black halter dress; its keyhole cutout required special care when posing to prevent wardrobe slips while highlighting the cut. For the lower half, it was paired with a black pleated skirt, black thigh garters, and semi-sheer Black stockings. The Black stockings absorbed significant heat in the sunlight, and being soaked in water added a distinct wet-look texture.

During the shoot, I held a white popsicle in my right hand, rushing shots before it melted too quickly. The blue beverage cup in my left hand, prepared by the prop team, harmonized nicely with the pool and sky behind me, creating great color contrast. The Amusement park photoshoot was quite demanding—surrounded by the roaring sounds of roller coasters and crowds of curious visitors, I had to overcome social anxiety to keep a stoic, commanding pose in public. With intense reflections on the water, the photographer and I constantly shifted camera angles on the move to find the best perspectives for the skirt hem and leg lines.

At times the scorching sun was almost unbearable, and I had to sip cold drinks to cool down. Fortunately, the photographer's guidance was very professional—especially capturing the moment I held the straw in my lips looking into the lens, nailing that tsundere and domineering expression. Reviewing the raw photos at home confirmed that all the prep work was worth it. Post-processing mainly preserved raw brightness while slightly boosting contrast, enhancing the clarity of the blue sky and pool water, and emphasizing the contrast between the black outfit and pale skin for maximum visual impact. Despite how tiring this shoot was, I'm thrilled with the high fidelity, feeling just like Salter herself—calmly facing the blazing summer heat with everything firmly under control in this Black stockings photography experience.
