Preparing the photography equipment and props for this water-themed shoot took considerable effort. The biggest challenge during the shoot was the floor mat used to simulate water—it was slippery to step on, and we had to be careful not to get the props wet. The outfit featured a translucent light blue cropped top paired with distressed denim shorts; the fabric was extremely lightweight. To complement the wet-look effect for the water scene, the demands on makeup longevity were very high, requiring a generous amount of setting powder. The wig was specially chosen in a pale golden-blonde spliced with cyan-blue, styled into twin side braids and looped accents. Expression management during the shoot was crucial; finding the most comfortable and flattering linear poses among the lounge chair, watermelon, and plush whale props took a lot of work. Especially when capturing the curves of the thighs and waist, I had to repeatedly adjust the orientation of my hips and toes. Post-processing mainly unified the cool-toned highlight ambiance and enhanced skin translucency. In this photo set, I particularly like the first picture—the composition highlights the body proportions perfectly, the light, shadow, and sheer translucency of the tulle are spot-on, and the refreshing summer vibe is captured wonderfully.
