I was quite satisfied with the test makeup shots for this session; considerable thought went into the entire hair and makeup styling process. First, I polished the base makeup meticulously. To give the eyes more depth and spirit, I selected highly pigmented reddish-brown colored contacts and adjusted the angle of the eyeliner wing several times. The wig featured long, straight black hair with straight-across blunt bangs, taking ages to secure with hairspray and styling clips until achieving the ideal volume and preventing it from unraveling during dynamic movements.
Regarding the outfit, the black backless design posed quite a challenge in terms of stability. The strapping needed to be pulled tight to accentuate the lines of the back; while the bodysuit itself was rather stretchy, its breathability was average, requiring a break to touch up makeup after an hour of shooting. The element demanding the most effort was the silver-gray spherical Mechanical props hanging from my waist—the physical orb was very heavy, taking extensive work with the belt and snap fasteners to secure firmly. It features gear motifs with prominent mechanical flair, casting a fantastic metallic sheen when swept with light. The gloves were made of black-and-gray leather; their fingerless design added great Tactical style flair, though they got rather stuffy after working up a sweat.
This set of photos was captured indoors as a Studio shoot, where softboxes and light stands remain visible in the background. The photographer primarily utilized rim backlighting and side lighting to sculpt the edges of my body and hair while filling light from the front, making the texture of the black-and-gray attire look exceptionally solid and grounded. During the shoot, we captured numerous over-the-shoulder glance angles; glancing back required revealing the contour of my back while keeping my gaze locked firmly onto the lens, demanding shoulder tension to preserve clean lines while twisting the torso. Outward arm gestures were also choreographed to highlight the details of the sleeves and gloves.
Overall, this black-and-gray Tactical style attire exudes a cold, sharp, and edgy aura. Because I plan to attend an Independent anime convention tour, I test-wore this ensemble in advance, still figuring out how to safely haul that heavy Mechanical props into the venue. The waist counterweight combined with the strap design makes prolonged walking a true endurance test, necessitating prior prep for gear storage and physical stamina. Nonetheless, the overall cosplay photoshoot experience was fantastic—it presented the garment's silhouettes completely and adapted seamlessly to mechanical sci-fi themed sets, making it a great reference for fans who love a gritty, badass aesthetic.
