Putting on this black-and-white lace Maid outfit, donning the iconic light blonde wig and red contact lenses, I instantly entered Formidable's state. For this shoot, I tried a makeup approach closer to the character; the eye makeup specially enlarged the iris color, which, paired with the fine lower eyelashes, restored that Royal Maid temperament of being a little playful yet well-behaved. The details of the Maid outfit are truly sophisticated—the folds of the headwear, the lace edges at the collar, and the black bowknot, each part took a lot of thought to adjust, and the moment I put on the hair accessory, I felt all the preparation was worth it. For the lighting, I chose indoor warm yellow light, which makes the skin tone more translucent and enhances the facial three-dimensionality; under the close-up lens, the texture of the wig and the fabric of the outfit are clearly visible. During the shooting process, I changed several angles, wanting to capture Formidable's slightly tsundere yet very gentle expression. I have always loved the exquisite nature of character designs in Azur Lane, and being able to interpret her in my own way brings a huge sense of achievement. Although this costume is layered and complex, wearing it actually makes me feel very at ease. I hope the final effect conveys the character's atmosphere; every time I do a cosplay, it is a re-expression of my understanding of the character as well as a collision with my personal style.
