Stepping up to the pool edge in this Kuromi Serika Summer swimsuit look, I immediately felt the distinct summer vitality of that cute cat-girl character from Blue Archive. The venue chosen for this shoot was an outdoor open-air swimming pool where sunlight dappled through leaves onto shimmering water, creating natural ambient lighting perfect for recreating the character's vacation theme in the game.

As for the outfit design, the black two-piece swimsuit is paired with white ruffles, offering visual contrast while preserving a youthful lightness. The swimsuit fabric looks richly textured under summer sunlight, and combined with the white rattan lounge chair, the color palette remains sleek and clean. The blue plush animal ears twintails style with black long hair are the focal points of the look. To match the original character's demeanor, I specifically chose a style with blue hair ribbons; the drape of the twintails adds dynamic movement to the frame whenever walking or turning around.

During the shoot, utilizing the lounge chair as a prop felt extremely natural. The woven rattan texture and natural gaps added rich detail to the composition while allowing for more relaxed postures. The pool water in the background softened into a clear blue-green tone under lens bokeh, beautifully complementing the character's black outfit and hair color. We tried several camera angles for this shoot: a frontal seated pose directly displayed overall outfit details, while a kneeling glance-back stance on the lounge chair better outlined body curves and leg lines, allowing the long twintails to drift more naturally from a side perspective.

An Outdoor pool location shoot definitely poses a challenge for maintaining the wig and makeup, but fortunately, the lighting was even that day without harsh backlighting. Through seamless collaboration between cosplayer and photographer, we successfully captured the refreshing feel of the swimsuit look alongside the character's slightly tsundere personality. Rather than forcing rigid poses, moving naturally around the lounge chair to capture spontaneous candid moments created a much more vivid result. This poolside summer atmosphere is ideally suited for casual cosplay creation. Throughout the shoot, expression and body control aimed to showcase character traits to the fullest without exaggeration, making this Blue Archive swimsuit outdoor shoot deliver a genuine and comfortable visual experience.
