This time shooting the Blue Archive Shimoe Koharu cosplay basically put all the previously prepared details into practice. The wig chose light pink Twintails, and the black and white feather hair accessories on both sides needed constant angle adjustments to ensure a natural drape in front of the lens. The pink halo prop on top of the head is a custom acrylic piece; to make it float naturally, it was actually fixed with transparent fishing line from behind for a long time. The outfit is a black halter bodysuit with cutouts and a pink lace lining on the chest. Because the cut is quite body-fitting, I applied quite a lot of anti-exposure tape before the shoot. The white plush sleeve covers wrapped around the arms have a great texture, but they were a bit stuffy under the studio lights; however, for the sake of the photo results, I wore them the whole time. The lower body was matched with white over-the-knee long socks and black ruffle rings at the ankles; the black, pink, and white color scheme forms a strong contrast against the pure white background. The makeup focused on the eyes, with purplish-red contact lenses paired with pinkish eyeshadow and blush, aiming to highlight Koharu's innocent yet slightly timid state. In terms of props, the chibi Koharu plush toy in my arms is the finishing touch of the entire set. The post mentions that little Koharu and Koharu should get along well, so I purposely kept the doll facing forward with hands clenched into fists in front of my chest, mimicking her subconscious defensive posture when nervous. While shooting, sitting on a metal folding chair with legs crossed, adjusting the center of gravity to make the leg lines more photogenic, while keeping the shoulders relaxed so as not to look deliberate. The placement of the gaze and the degree of finger bending—I repeatedly confirmed these details against the lens. Throughout the process, I was thinking about how to express Koharu's awkwardness of being easily shy yet trying hard to put on a brave face. Although wearing the wig and complex clothing for a long time was somewhat exhausting, seeing myself holding the doll with darting eyes in the final photos made me feel that all the early adjustments and coordination were worth it. Blue Archive's character design has a lot of layers, and Shimoe Koharu's outfit is not only cute but also carries a unique sense of vulnerability. I really enjoy the process of shaping character traits through body language, and I hope to convey this special feeling to those who see the photos.
