This summer-themed photo set features Swimsuit Azusa (Shirasu Azusa's summer version) from Blue Archive. To embody a refreshing summer atmosphere, I selected a light silver-grey long straight wig, paired with colorful orange slices, strawberries, and polka-dot bow hair decorations, visually creating a sweet, vibrant feel right from the start.

As for the costume, this Swimsuit Azusa summer outfit design is visually rich. The top utilizes an off-the-shoulder sheer paneling design, combining a soft pink oversized bow with a dark blue lining for clear layering. The sleeves feature a white semi-sheer fabric with a fringe-like feel, extending into light blue ruffles at the lower edge to echo seawater tones. The bottom consists of a short layered pleated skirt made of light pink and blue-and-white fabrics that sway with movement, beautifully displaying leg lines.

To highlight the cool summer atmosphere, we specially set up an indoor artificial white sand area as our base background, paired with a white rattan lounger, a minimalist white round table, and a blue-and-white wooden beach chair—the overall vibe completely aligns with the character's Summer beach activities theme. Meanwhile, for props, I prepared a huge semi-transparent white swim ring; its blue "Summer" text logo and icy texture made prop interaction scenes burst with cool summer energy.

In terms of posing, to break away from standard standing poses, I experimented with various sitting and leaning postures. For example, sitting on the edge of the sand with slightly bent legs creates a comfortable, lazy feel; leaning half-way over the rattan chair with one hand supporting my chin allows my eyes to hold a direct conversation with the lens; leaning back slightly in the light demonstrates the freedom and relaxation of wearing this summer attire. This Cosplay photography shoot emphasized the use of light: strong afternoon sunlight poured in from the window, casting crisp shadows on the sand, where harsh light combined with vibrant costume colors to achieve a bright summer aesthetic.

While maintaining the character's temperament, I also adjusted the makeup—foregoing heavy eyeshadow in favor of a translucent base and warm-toned lipstick to highlight natural skin texture and complexions. For the necklace, I selected colorful orange and blue beads paired with a pale yellow pendant; such detailed accessories better accentuate her playfulness. To match the lazy, casual vibe in this styling, I alternated between shoes and barefoot states according to the scene—sometimes wearing thick-soled beach sandals, and other times going barefoot directly on the sand or rattan chair to make body posture feel more natural and relaxed.

In post-processing, we didn't do heavy color re-grading, keeping the bright exposure and vivid saturation inherent to the raw photos to highlight summer light and the soft, translucent texture of the sheer fabric. Each photo's composition aimed to leave negative space, allowing the white sand and background greenery to anchor the character as the main focus. This fresh, bright color palette perfectly reflects her lively yet playful nature. To achieve optimal results, we continually adjusted light reflection angles during shooting so the white sheer fabric looked airy without blowing out the highlights.

Finally, huge thanks to the team that helped build this summer-themed set. Stepping into this outfit felt as if I were truly standing on a breezy Summer beach; even though it was an indoor simulated environment, the entire shoot was immensely enjoyable—a truly special summer cosplay experience.
