Trying out the Bunny girl styling for Lancer Artoria Alter cosplay was a very special experience, completely distinct from the usual feeling of wearing heavy armor or formal attire in Fate.

What fascinated me most about this outfit was the clash of textures. The main piece is a deep purple bodysuit, spliced with glossy, reflective blue spiky accents along the chest and sleevelet borders, evoking a slightly sci-fi and sharp edge. Contrasting against these cold, rigid textures were the enormous purple plush tail cascading from the shoulders and back, along with plush fur trims on the sleeves. To make the plush look fluffy and natural, I spent a lot of time combing it before shooting, fine-tuning the curvature and drape of the tail multiple times to ensure optimal visual impact during dynamic candid captures.

To match the Bunny girl theme, accessories featured dramatic red-and-blue contrasting bunny ears, with black spiky hair clips at the base adding a touch of combat readiness. For the wig, to recreate the character's iconic updo bun with side wavy locks, I used plenty of hairspray and bobby pins to fix it in place—after all, it had to retain three-dimensional volume without looking stiff during movements. Makeup focused heavily on the eyes: golden contact lenses paired with slightly upturned winged eyeliner and deepened reddish-brown at the outer corners captured the cold, slightly arrogant demeanor of Lancer Artoria Alter. The lips featured a deep matte tone; the overall makeup wasn't overly loud, prioritizing facial bone structure and dimensional depth.

This shoot utilized a pure white seamless backdrop, relying predominantly on lighting and postures to sculpt the silhouette. For the first seated pose, I picked a wooden high bar stool, where crossed legs beautifully showcased the fine texture of the black fishnet Stockings. Wearing fine fishnet Stockings truly tests leg contours; during shooting, I had to continuously micro-adjust angles to keep muscle lines taut while coordinating with the tension of high heels. The waist features a cutout design, making core engagement crucial in seated poses—holding the core tight at all times ensured natural, fluid body curves.

The second standing pose holding a red wine glass was meant to convey the character's poised composure. Balancing a silver metallic tray with red wine in one hand while bending and lifting one leg backward required immense balance. To steady my center of gravity, I was practically balancing on one high heel, relying entirely on ankle and core strength; my calf muscles were held taut throughout the entire pose. But seeing the lines of the fishnet Stockings and high heels in the photos, along with the giant tail sweeping up behind me, made every ounce of effort feel worthwhile. Holding the wine glass added narrative depth to the scene, like a fleeting pause during a banquet, with the gaze needing to be dialed in just right. From the garment tailoring to prop coordination, I communicated thoroughly with the photographer before the shoot, ensuring every detail stood up to scrutiny. This venture balancing aloof glamour and sensual allure deepened my understanding of this Fate/Grand Order character, and I look forward to experimenting with more diverse styles in the future.
