[Sunna cosplay] Sweet afternoon of Zenless Zone Zero's Angels of Delusion

Today I cosplayed Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero. Styling the wig for this look was quite a challenge; the pale green shade required multi-layered curls to hold up the fluffy volume of the twintails, and arranging the game controller hairpins, heart clips, and criss-cross bobby pins on the crown took considerable tweaking to ensure no flaws showed from any camera angle. The makeup was crafted primarily to highlight her signature indolent yet slightly cool aura: amber-toned contact lenses were matched with eye makeup that emphasized the lower eyelids, while the base was kept clean and matte, complemented by a soft, subtle lip color. For the outfit, the white puff-sleeve shirt featured black heart embroidery at the collar, paired with a star-patterned red tie and a black choker. A black multi-tiered ruffled mini skirt with a white belt injected a dose of punk and techwear edge into an otherwise sweet aesthetic. The pink-and-white striped arm sleeves and over-the-knee Stockings served as visual focal points, paired with black studded leg garters to highlight the layers of the ensemble while preserving character accuracy.

The shooting location was decorated very warmly, with light filtering through wooden window blinds acting as our greatest asset. Sunlight grazed the pink and white cabinets, while the small toaster oven, pink teapot, and various dessert-themed decorations in the background naturally created an immersive atmosphere. Because the space was styled like a kitchen counter, I sat on the wooden countertop holding the pink heart magic wand, aiming to project a relaxed, casual state. To capture this set well, I explored many variations in posture—such as how to hold the magic wand naturally without looking posed, and how to angle my legs to showcase the striped over-the-knee Stockings and leg garters without risking wardrobe slips. Since the socks were thick and the leg garters rather snug, maintaining bent-knee poses for long periods became physically demanding, requiring frequent shifts in my center of gravity.

Throughout the shoot, the photographer's mastery over lighting angles was exceptionally precise. Linear shadows cast by the blinds fell across the floor and my body, and these natural patterns gave the photos striking dimensional depth. Within the limited room, we searched for diverse angles covering close-ups, half-body, and full-body frames. Every shutter click required adjusting my facial expressions, striving to strike a balance between cuteness and cool detachment. In particular, capturing that slightly lowered gaze looking toward the camera with a calm yet innocent feel took repeated verification through the viewfinder.

While the finished photos look effortless, considerable effort went into every step from styling preparations to on-site shooting. Maintaining the wig, ensuring makeup longevity, smoothing the fabric, and building intuitive compositional chemistry with the photographer all influenced the final result. I truly love the visual impact achieved through the interplay of lighting and styling here—it was a wonderful shooting experience.
