Shooting this Genshin Impact Ganyu Qipao set involved thorough preparations, from steaming and ironing the garments beforehand to meticulous location scouting. I selected this outfit because it marries the timeless poise of a traditional Chinese Qipao with the character's signature celestial elegance. The costume is rich in fine details—particularly the white-blue-black gradient capelet coat, whose gilded cloud filigree and floral embroideries required gentle, attentive care. To reflect the aesthetic of red plum blossoms against snow, we scouted a traditional Chinese covered corridor surrounded by blooming pink boughs, where my cool blue-and-white palette formed a soothing, balanced chromatic contrast against the saturated pink flowers.

Daylight was brilliant and clear on our shoot day, casting dappled light through overhead branches onto grey brickwork and crimson pillars, imbuing the scene with cinematic poetry. However, outdoor gusts were persistent; the wig and billowing sleeves frequently caught the wind, demanding constant touch-ups from both the stylist and myself. Holding an oiled paper parasol and a plum blossom circular silk fan tested somatic control and posing stability. To accentuate the bespoke tailoring of the dress as well as the harmony between the white over-the-knee Stockings and black stilettos, numerous compositions were captured seated along stone balustrades. Seeing the final deliverables, I fell in love with the luminous, crystal-clear quality. The modified silhouette of this Qipao flatters bodily curves, with the high side slit and layered hemline framing the white Stockings to inject a playful sweetness into classical romance.
