Drawing out this invincible Permanent Twilight, the core task on the day of the shoot was adjusting the lighting ratio. Because the blade portion carried high-intensity incandescent light effects, standard studio lighting would not only blow out the highlights into a flat white, but also make the facial shadows look rigid. We tested three different camera setups and ultimately adopted the current plan: lowering the ambient light overall, utilizing side-backlighting to outline the red hair and demon horns behind me, and letting the sword's luminescence serve as one of the primary light sources in the scene. In this way, the rich textures of the black leather and harness straps emerged, while the white sleeves stood out vividly against the dark tones.
In terms of costume styling, what satisfied me most was the presentation of leg lines. The combination of Black stockings and over-the-knee boots, paired with a high-waisted miniskirt, visually elongated lower-body proportions. Since we needed to convey a combat-ready state, footwork and posing took considerable thought. In Photo 3's half-kneeling composition, engaging the waist allowed the skirt to flare naturally, giving dynamic motion to the long hair behind me, which, alongside the reflections on the floor, crafted a powerful sense of spatial depth. The photographer also took dedicated close-ups of the scattered leather straps.
Regarding post-processing, it focused primarily on blending the blade's glow effects and removing unnecessary background clutter, preserving a sharp yet substantial Dark style combat atmosphere. During shooting, we also ran into a challenge: the prop sword was genuinely heavy, and holding it for various actions left my waist aching. Maintaining effortless cool aloofness in my facial expressions required tremendous effort. When shooting close-ups with glowing facial effects, it looked dazzling, but holding still made it very easy to laugh. The long red hair was also tricky to catch in motion; using a fan sometimes made the angle awkward, requiring repeated retakes. Fortunately, the resulting photos matched our expectations nicely. Though exhausting, seeing the finalized shots with that cold, razor-sharp edge—especially the long legs in Black stockings and red hair framed in moody lighting—made all the effort worthwhile. More than just flawless visuals, this photoshoot experience left a lasting impression on me, and that's all for today's share.
