This time, taking advantage of the great weather, I shot a set of Remilia Scarlet photos. I repeatedly adjusted everything from the makeup to the wig styling myself—especially the eye makeup. To restore that slightly wicked yet childlike vampire gaze, I tried three different eyeliner styles and finally chose a blended method overlaying deep red and wine red. The light blue of the wig gets a bit translucent under sunlight, so the shoot was deliberately scheduled for the evening, combined with dimming the ambient light in post-processing to make the red moon background stand out more. The ruffles on the costume and the gemstone decorations on the chest were all treated with attention to detail, and a high-gloss finish was chosen for the red spear's material, which yields an ideal reflection effect in the dark. During the shoot, I tried an interactive composition holding an apple, wanting to express the mistress's leisurely and playful state; the wing braces were given an invisible treatment to make them look more natural. Overall, this group of photos is relatively balanced in terms of light-shadow contrast and color saturation without an excessive filter feel, retaining the character traits of the cosplay itself. Every time I cosplay a Touhou Project character, I put extra heart into it because the original characters have distinct personalities, and Remilia's noble yet slightly willful temperament is well worth contemplating repeatedly. Being able to successfully capture a state I am satisfied with this time counts as a complete restoration attempt.
