[Cirno Cosplay] The Ice Fairy Under the Blazing Sun Finally Couldn't Take the Sunshine

I finished this set of outdoor shoots under the blazing noon sun in a golden-yellow rice field. With the sunshine pouring down unreservedly, it was indeed a day that was both intensely sun-drenched and hot. For the outfit, high-saturation blue and pure white were mainly selected; combined with this straw hat featuring naturally frayed edges and a fine cord knot at the collar, the overall look creates a contrasting feel that stays close to pastoral life while remaining dreamlike.

The shooting process tested my mindset quite a bit, because transparent material props easily catch harsh reflections under intense light, requiring the photographer to constantly adjust angles. The ice crystal props used this time were made of laser holographic material with white fluff specifically attached to the edges to enhance lightness, so the resulting photos genuinely look as if they come with a built-in cooling filter. I also brought a matching woven bamboo basket and a mini doll to appear in the shots, making me feel like a little fairy truly living in the fields.

But the funniest part was digging my own grave: because I stayed under the sun for so long, looking back at the raw unedited photos I really noticed I had tanned a shade darker! The self-deprecating caption jokes about \"the ice fairy that doesn't melt under the blazing sun\" and \"the baka got tanned\" perfectly matched the outcome of this shoot. Honestly, even though an ice fairy isn't supposed to fear the heat, walking around under such a hot sun in real life while wearing a thick, layered skirt really created an illusion that I was \"about to melt.\"

The cooperation with photographer @R-Bing-Ruidu-Bugou went very smoothly this time—he's great at capturing outdoor atmospheric vibes under natural light. During composition, we specifically chose golden rice waves and a distant wooden pavilion as backgrounds. In post-processing, the highlights were toned down slightly to preserve the authentic light-and-shadow texture of sunlight striking strands of hair and dress folds. Lifting the skirt hem, raising ice crystals, leaning over to touch the rice ears—every pose integrated smoothly into the real scene, and I'm very satisfied with the overall field vitality and character agility.

Some thought was also put into fabric selection for this anime-style outfit: the top features a lightweight, breathable material so it wouldn't feel overly suffocating outdoors, while the skirt hem's ruffled pleats were made neatly to give off a natural fluffiness when moving. Small sunflowers on the straw hat echo the sunflower decorations at the side waist of the dress, infusing plenty of warmth into the cool-toned blue and white outfit and keeping the overall color scheme from feeling too chilly.

Though I got quite sunbaked during this shoot, seeing the final photos made everything completely worth it. This is a cosplay photography set rich in regional charm, and I hope to convey the character's casual, dorky, yet slightly proud personality. The overall lighting, composition, outfit vibe, and shooting emotions all resonated seamlessly, making it a truly rewarding photography experience.
