This experience at the Redland float parade was truly unforgettable. To present the best state on the float, a lot of thought went into the costume and makeup/styling beforehand. First, regarding the outfit, the red-brown jacket was chosen with a fabric that has a certain thickness without appearing bulky, ensuring a better texture under outdoor lighting. For the white ruffles around the collar and that iconic large pom-pom, I specifically selected static-resistant materials to ensure they maintained a fluffy and cute state while walking and waving. The golden four-leaf clover embroidery on the hat was also picked with a focus on details, featuring a strong three-dimensional feel.

For the wig part, white blunt bangs and sideburns can easily look fake, so I used a hair straightener beforehand to add a slight inward-curled arc to make it fit the face shape better, and also styled stray hairs at the edges to look more natural. The elf ear props were made of skin-toned silicone, with edges carefully blended using special effects glue and concealer, along with matching foundation, making them almost flawless before the camera. In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on the eye makeup. Red circle lenses paired with slightly shimmering pink-orange eyeshadow, with the outer corners of the eyes drawn slightly downwards, added that innocent feel. The base makeup was relatively sheer and clear, paired with a slightly flushed, intoxicated-looking blush, trying to get as close as possible to the soft, cute texture of a 2D loli.

The brown short gloves worn on the hands were also searched for a long time to find a well-fitting pattern that wouldn't make the hands look too bulky, appearing very agile when greeting everyone on the float. That giant hammer puppet prop in the background was super eye-catching, and I couldn't help walking over to take a few photos together. While interacting with everyone on the float, hearing someone below shout that my outfit was very accurate made me truly feel that all the tiring early preparation was worth it. The atmosphere of the float parade was exceptionally wonderful, with everyone communicating enthusiastically; this kind of offline gathering belonging to ACG always fills people with energy. Actually, when cosplaying such small-stature characters, apart from costume fidelity, adjusting body language and expressions is also crucial. Keeping the center of gravity stable on the float, making movements slightly lightweight, and coordinating with some dainty poses allowed me to better blend into the character's state. The lighting for this shoot was also very good, with the warm yellow lantern background hitting the face, and natural light combined with a bit of fill light making the skin texture turn out very translucent. I hope this carefully prepared photo set lets everyone feel the joyful atmosphere of the float parade.
