[Yae Miko cosplay] The Narukami Duo in Genshin Impact: A Custom design cosplay Style

Regarding the shoot for this Genshin Impact Yae Miko Custom design cosplay, a tremendous amount of thought went into pre-production. When locking down the makeup look initially, I adjusted the eye makeup multiple times to match the custom concept's gentle yet aloof temperament; the darker eye makeup and deep iris tone shown in today's straight-on close-up were designed precisely to counterbalance the sweetness brought by the Pink wig. The hair is an exaggeratedly long pink curly wig with noticeable weight, and the tassels on the hairpins tangled easily, requiring constant upkeep on set. The lighting was intensely bright during this shot with frequent overexposed backlighting, so I reached up to steady the hair accessory, freezing this slightly more natural pose.

The second photo incorporates water splashes and floral props as thematic material belonging to the same atmospheric set; while some lighting turned out a bit harsh, this hazy, cool-toned visual effect perfectly fits the aloof, divine grace I intended to express. Special care was also taken when choosing the white tulle around the neck—the silk fabric paired with a pearl necklace enhances the character's signature elegance.

As for post-processing, I retained that subtle greenish glow in the frame and avoided overly heavy contouring, primarily aiming to capture an ethereal, delicate Atmosphere. Because this is my personal custom concept, my sincere apologies to original canon fans and for any imperfect details—Genshin Impact's official design is already peerless, and this custom design is merely my own daring creative experiment.

The charm of the Narukami faction lies in that blend of majestic authority and subtly tsundere interplay; although I didn't have a partner for this shoot, I tried to convey that cool, aloof aura through camera angles and a subtle downward gaze. The weather was finicky on the day of the shoot with rapidly shifting light, so most of the time was spent waiting on lighting or tweaking gear. The shot framing across this set isn't particularly wide—we didn't deliberately focus on legs or body curves, choosing instead to emphasize the facial contours and hair texture. Before shooting, I studied many of the character's idle gestures across Narukami Island, which is why you'll spot subtle touches like tucking hair behind the ear and gazing into the lens. Recording all these nuances and creative thoughts here serves as a personal reflection. Given the opportunity in the future, I hope to bring even more aesthetically refined works to life.
