[Ganyu Cosplay] The Rare Red Maple Rest Day for Genshin Impact's Corporate Slave Secretary

A day like a birthday, for someone like me who is used to working around the clock, the most reasonable arrangement is to give myself a vacation. Although everyone usually calls me a workaholic, today is my exclusive birthday after all, so it's not too much to step out of the tight state and take a break, right? Coincidentally, I prepared a set of Genshin Impact Ganyu birthday fan work themed shoot this time. On the shooting day, a lot of red maple elements were intentionally added. I didn't expect the red maple leaves in the final photos to unexpectedly match the character's own temperament so well, just like an unexpected birthday gift, making me really happy.

As a corporate slave who works overtime all year round, I usually particularly like the character Ganyu when playing Genshin Impact. Her contrast charm—having top-tier working capability but occasionally showing fatigue and a bit of silliness—is truly realistic. The purpose of this Ganyu default skin cosplay today was originally to recreate the elegance and daily feel of the "most powerful secretary of the Liyue Qixing."

Let's talk about the makeup and styling first. The wig this time is that very eye-catching long blue hair, paired with the black animal horn shape with red spots on the crown. The texture is crafted very precisely, and there is soft fuzz at the roots. After putting it on, the silhouette of the entire head takes on Ganyu's charm. In terms of clothing, the black high-slit bodysuit base paired with the wide white-to-light-blue gradient sleeve decorations forms a particularly strong visual contrast. To make the sleeves present that flowing posture in the photos, I swung them back and forth quite a few times during the shoot. The white composite material waist accessory is very heavily detailed, with a translucent tear-shaped cyan-green gemstone embedded in the center, and two thick red ropes hanging below along with tassels and small bells, which sway with movements or turns, making it highly recognizable. Because the outfit emphasizes a slim fit, and the black opaque tights have a great wrapping feel, combined with that pair of white and blue spliced high heels with thin red straps, it overall elongates the body proportions very comfortably.

The selection of the shooting scene was a very attentive part this time. We found a Japanese-style or Oriental classical style indoor studio. The background built a woven bamboo mat wall, and the dark wood cabinet behind featured very classic Greek key carved textures. Books with blue spines and woven bamboo balls were randomly placed on top of the cabinet, and a wash-and-ink bamboo branch scroll and a semi-translucent screen paper curtain filled with calligraphy fonts hung in the corner. The cluster of red maple props on the front left was the finishing touch, and the falling maple leaf special effects were added in post-processing, instantly giving the static frame movement and a seasonal atmosphere.

The shooting process was actually quite physically demanding, especially for poses that required frequent turning, glancing back, and kneeling. The second photo with a backward glance standing pose is one I personally like very much. With my entire body turned sideways, the waist curve and the feather-like flow of the sleeves can be displayed beautifully. The third photo's kneeling-glance-back angle, combined with the lens focal length, not only highlights the layers of the back accessories but also allows the red rope tassels on the waist to drape naturally, which is full of atmosphere.

Actually, shooting Ganyu this time also meant to cheer myself up a bit. In reality, an office worker's energy is finite after all; it's impossible to truly run efficiently forever like a game character. Since I rarely took a day off today, I should enjoy this moment of tranquility. Looking at this set of final photos, I feel that I put effort into replicating the character's essence. It's not only a celebration for Ganyu's birthday but also a bit of solace for my hard work this year. The birthday is over, and tomorrow I indeed have to dive back into work, but there are more happy moments like this to look forward to in the future.
