This outfit was shot at an esports arena in Shangjie District, featuring a style entirely distinct from conventional anime conventions or studio shoots. The esports gaming chair and computer desk provided an unexpected backdrop to showcase this attire. Let's start with the outfit: the blue outer coat has a crisp, structured texture; to preserve its tailored silhouette, I spent quite a while adjusting it inside and out when putting it on. Inside is a pleated white vest and shorts, paired with a black cravat bow at the collar. The blue tie and gold tassels at the waist served as the crowning touches. For the wig, I selected a pure white bob, undergoing extensive trimming and styling to flatter my facial shape. The heaviest element was undoubtedly the top hat; its metallic and feather ornaments easily shifted, so any movement required careful re-centering, and during shoot breaks I constantly used my hand to check its position. The prop sword in hand deserves special mention—the blade is long and carries noticeable weight. When posing with the sword single-handedly, my arm had to exert steady force to keep it from shaking; it looked dashing, but was genuinely exhausting. Black leg garters were worn on the legs, paired with white shorts to visually elongate into Long legs. This costume pairing demands great attention to detail—the placement of the gloves, the angle of the bows on the boots—even a slight tilt would detract from overall aesthetics, so I kept fine-tuning these little nuances.

The shooting location was set in an esports arena. Originally designed for gaming, it featured orange and grey esports chairs, backlit computer desks with glowing displays, and various peripherals. When I appeared wearing this ornate, European-court-inspired gown, it generated a stark contrast against the surrounding high-tech scene. When shooting seated poses, I had to neatly arrange the coat tails and skirt folds so they wouldn't bunch up awkwardly on the chair. The moment I sat on the esports chair with legs crossed and the prop sword propped against the floor, there was a real sensation of breaking through the fourth dimension. Because the indoor ambient lighting was intricate—with monitor backlights occasionally casting across my face—the photographer had to continually adjust camera angles. I explored both seated and standing poses, such as resting one foot on the edge of the chair or resting a hand against the back of the chair while leaning on the sword. To highlight the details of the shorts and leg garters, high-angle and side-profile shots flawlessly captured the contours of my Long legs.

However, wearing the outfit for an extended period was indeed stuffy, especially since the collar was snugly fastened, leading to multiple rest breaks to retouch makeup and tidy up the wig. During shooting, I also tried poses wearing headphones or gripping a mouse; although completely anachronistic to her lore, it felt surprisingly fitting within this esports venue. Seated in the wide esports chair, to keep from sinking back into it, my back and core had to stay upright at all times to preserve the character's dignified poise. This styling originally conveys an aloof sense of distance, but inside a gaming room, that aloofness melted away, replaced by an endearing, grounded charm. I'm very pleased with the final result: fusing a Genshin Impact character with an authentic esports environment without exaggerated VFX, relying purely on venue props and lighting to achieve a wonderful vibe for this Furina cosplay.
