[Seija Kijin Cosplay] The Rebellious Soul of Touhou Double Dealing Character: Swings the Bat for Gekokujo

This time, the Seija Kijin cosplay is a character from Touhou Double Dealing Character that I especially wanted to portray. In order to capture that fearless Gekokujo aura, I communicated with the team for a long time during the early stages, and we finally decided to use a pure red background to create an intense visual oppression. The red backdrop yields an extremely passionate and dangerous vibe, perfectly matching the character's rebellious and warlike personality.

In terms of styling, the costume combines a sailor collar, a dark trench coat vest, and a pleated skirt hem design. The woven details on the bow tie are highly intricate, and I'd like to specially thank the tailor @于是我改了名字 for the meticulous recreation. The red and black double-color highlights in the hair, along with those two small white horns, instantly capture the little demon temperament from Touhou Project. For the footwear, it's paired with white knee-high socks and highly recognizable black thick-soled geta sandals; although the geta sandals carry a lot of weight, it's precisely this height that makes the overall character's proportions and sense of oppression look harmonious and consistent.

The baseball bat held in my hand served as the core prop, playing a role in amplifying the physical tension during the cosplay photography shoot. Actually, when recreating the character, I didn't intentionally strike many rigid combat poses but focused more on casual and unrestrained movements—such as resting the bat directly on my shoulder or casually leaning it against my lips—letting the relaxation of my physical state contrast with the arrogance of the character's setting.

During the shoot, the photographer @005 captured the character's states from various angles, especially utilizing backlighting and side lighting very masterfully. This kind of lighting hitting the character makes the silhouette sharp, maximizing the interwoven light and shadow textures of the red and black color scheme. In post-production, @灿兮后期 deepened the tones; especially in the silhouette state, the entire character looks exceptionally resolute. This dark and high-contrast cinematic style integrates beautifully with the atmosphere of the Double Dealing Character scenes.

I have always believed that cosplay is not just a replication of a costume, but a capture of the character's inner personality. Those traits of Seija Kijin about breaking conventions and challenging order were wonderfully amplified in this creation. The red environment paired with the setting of holding a weapon allows anyone to immediately read this uncompromising theme. The entire creative process went smoothly and was full of chemistry, which wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of every professional partner on the team. Attempting to present a character from Touhou Project in a more dramatically tense way this time counts as a brand-new experience, and I hope this photo set allows everyone to feel our dedication in visual expression.
