Cosplay convention photos from the festival, this time featuring Ho'olheyak from Arknights. This mechanical staff with serrated edges is very heavy, but it is also the soul prop of the entire set of photos. To fit Ho'olheyak's cool, lazy, and detached aura, I used cool tones for the makeup while emphasizing the thickness of the shoulder and waist structures of the costume, allowing the black-and-white color blocking and teal streamers to present three-dimensional layers.

The glass curtain wall of the venue introduced a lot of cool natural light that day, which perfectly matched the character's vibe, so we decided to utilize the corridor spaces and steps at the convention venue to build depth in the frame. The mechanical interlocking details of the prop and the patterns on the coat were excellently captured in motion during the photographer's shoot. When posing, such as sitting on a white portable case, I intentionally adjusted the angle of my leg lines to make the black stockings and high heels look slender in the lens, while leaving enough space for the giant staff to balance the image.

During retouching, I requested to minimize complex editing, focusing on preserving the texture of the costume fabric and the gradient color of the wig to make the restoration lean more toward a realistic material texture. Although the environment at the Hangzhou China International Cartoon and Animation Festival was noisy, finding a clean corner paired with these minimalist pillars actually brought out the character's independent temperament. From the trial fitting to on-site adjustments, this outfit had many details worth refining, and the final result achieved my expected visual expression for this Anime-style photography piece.
