Ever since I got this costume, I had been pondering how to perfectly restore Sparkle's frantic yet clever temperament. The red and white color-schemed Japanese-style jacket paired with wide sleeves gives an exceptionally flowy feel when moving around, but the biggest challenge was this twin-tail wig. To keep the hair strands fluffy and the bows on both sides symmetrical, I spent a long time managing it with styling spray beforehand. In terms of props, aside from the weapon, that little rabbit plush toy is also the core essence; hugging it while posing during the shoot brought out the character's playful, cynical, yet slightly childish contrast instantly.
The environmental lighting for this convention photo was actually quite complex, but the photographer @SanX_Sanxia was excellent at capturing dynamic moments. The first frame sitting on a chair and reaching out utilized a wide-angle extension effect, capturing the layering of the attire and the bell details on the shoes very crisply, with excellent line-of-sight guidance. The second frame is a snapshot holding up the gun; although the background is slightly blurred, that playful vibe of being ready to pull a prank at any moment is fully preserved. Personally, I feel the most interesting part of cosplay is briefly experiencing another character's life through costumes, props, and expressions. Sparkle's personality has a massive span—requiring both theatrical exaggeration on stage and careful inner calculation—so figuring out her micro-expressions took quite a lot of time. I had a blast during this shoot, and my gratitude goes out to the fellow fans on-site for their warm interactions, which completely ignited the whole atmosphere.
