This set of Sparkle cosplay photoshoot images taken during the Honkai: Star Rail 3rd Anniversary is finally sorted out. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite frames and small details from the shoot.

Regarding the design of this costume, I found it very interesting when I first saw the setting—a combination of classic "magician and bunny ears" elements, paired with a red, black, and white color-blocking mix, which carries intense visual tension. In addition to the small black top hat with white rabbit ears and a red trim on top of my head, the wig section was also slightly modified, incorporating striking orange-red highlights and a few thin braids to prevent the overall look from looking too rigid, adding a touch of playfulness.

The clothing details are also very rich, extensively utilizing white ruffles and hollowed-out designs at the neckline and skirt hem. The sleeves are loose patchwork wide sleeves, with the lower section hiding card suit patterns of spades and diamonds, highly fitting the traits of the character Sparkle. In terms of props, for this shoot, I coordinated using exaggerated red boxing gloves, silver handcuffs, and that vintage monocle with a chain. When holding the monocle up to align with my right eye, I felt like my whole person instantly switched to a mysterious yet sharp vibe.

The selection of the environment for this Anime-style photography was also very interesting. Instead of choosing a conventional anime convention studio or an ancient Chinese-style studio, we found a studio that leans towards an industrial cyberpunk style. In the background, there were disco mirror balls, vintage electronic instruments, and red-and-white striped conical pylons, cooperating with large areas of blue cool light sources to set a relatively cold yet slightly fantasy-like tone for this set of photos. During the shoot, a large area of transparent plastic film was laid on the floor. When the cool-toned lights cast down, the reflection of the plastic film happened to mirror the patterns and light/shadow on the costume, making the frame layers richer. This also just happened to fit the theme sense of the Honkai: Star Rail 3rd Anniversary—breaking the fourth wall, merriment, and the interlacing of light and shadow.

There were actually quite a few fun challenges during the shooting process. For instance, striking various straddling or kneeling poses in an environment entirely covered in plastic film required constant caution to prevent slipping, and I also had to pay attention to the placement of the clothing's ruffles at any time. When posing with that giant boxing glove, because the prop was relatively heavy, lifting it up with one hand while managing my facial expressions was truly a test of arm strength. However, after putting on this outfit, as a form of Roleplay, it was still very easy to get drawn into the character's emotions; when gesturing with the handcuffs, even I felt that the small expression carrying a bit of "dangerous" playfulness was highly natural.

From the design conception of the clothing to the coordination of makeup and styling, and further to the sci-fi atmosphere built by the photographer using a combination of hot and cold lights, every single aspect reflected everyone's dedication to showcasing the traits of the character Sparkle. The Honkai: Star Rail 3rd Anniversary serves as an excellent opportunity, allowing me to record and preserve such a design—full of circus fairytale flavor yet fused with a modern feel—in the form of photographs. Every time conducting a shoot of a character I truly love, after removing the wig and makeup, looking at the photos frozen in the camera brings a wonderful sense of achievement, making me feel as if I briefly experienced a fantasy life different from my daily routine. As a character record carrying magician colors and a touch of mystery, I thoroughly enjoyed the process this time.
