The primary focus of this fitting session was testing the overall silhouette of the outfit supported by a 35cm petticoat. For a multi-layered, voluminous flare skirt like this, the dimensions of the hoop skirt directly dictate the final visual impact. A 35cm petticoat offered just the right amount of structural support for this cut: it completely flared out the outer skirt so the white-and-blue floral hem patterns were fully displayed without obstruction, while avoiding excessive expansion that could look bulky, preserving an elegant A-line sweep.

The upper bodice features a fitted sweetheart neckline in deep blue with tailored precision, enriched by golden dimensional embroidery across the bust and neckline for added regal opulence. The wide, dramatic sleeves on the arms presented a unique styling challenge—an inner layer of dark opera gloves overlaid with flared white sleeve cuffs adorned with purplish-red gemstones, delivering rich textural depth. To counterbalance the visual complexity of the upper torso, the lower half was paired with solid, opaque pure-white pantyhose (Stockings) and silver lace-up flat shoes, visually elongating the leg lines to create a taller, more slender silhouette.

The translucent blue gossamer train cascading from the back demands exceptional textile quality. During the fitting, I turned around specifically to evaluate its drape; in motion, it ripples with the ethereal lightness of flowing water. Mirror selfies tested angles considerably: because the petticoat creates substantial volume, standing in a slight three-quarter profile was essential to capture both the front filigree and the dimensional profile in a single frame. The silver-white wig also required careful styling to sit close against the skull, preventing the head from looking disproportionately small against the broad neckline and flared sleeves. Cool-toned ambient lighting cast across the blue-and-white textiles highlighted the character's icy, pristine aura to perfection.

Wearing the full ensemble confirmed that its grandeur genuinely lived up to expectations. However, navigating a 35cm petticoat requires extra mindfulness when changing and sitting down, imposing slight constraints on mobility and demanding an upright, poised posture to maintain the dress's architectural lines. To focus purely on the fitting, facial makeup and micro-details are still being refined, so this preview highlights the garment architecture and silhouette first.
