This shoot features Iseri Nina's casual daily clothing look, and I decided on a light makeup scheme before shooting. Compared to intense eyeshadow and heavy colors on stage, this base makeup with a translucent texture better aligns with the character's initial impression of being slightly stubborn yet fragile. The base makeup only covered basic blemishes, retaining real skin texture and facial contours, especially the natural shadows at the corners of the eyes and the bridge of the nose. For lip color, a muted dry rose shade was chosen without deliberately emphasizing the lip line, striving to present a no-makeup makeup look with a realistic touch. The wig is in a reddish-brown tone, and to match the light makeup, I specially cut asymmetrical bangs to keep a light airy feel, avoiding dull heaviness. The hair strands' flow was also kept as close as possible to the character's usual casual state, without using styling products to fix them too stiffly; the messiness when blown by the wind felt all the more vivid and natural.
For the outfit coordination, an oversized beige short-sleeved T-shirt with a natural dropped shoulder hem was used, layered over a white collared shirt. This classic prep-style layering is very youthful, and the beige-and-white combination makes the upper body look light and translucent. The red handwritten letter print on the T-shirt formed a clever color echo with the hair color. The lower half was paired with a green and brown woven plaid pleated skirt, with the overall color scheme leaning toward earth tones. The drape and silhouette of this light makeup outfit looked extremely textured under the park's natural light. The white wired headphones paired as a prop were one of the soulful elements of this styling: visually, they emphasized the character's trait of liking music and occasionally closing herself off, while adding plenty of everyday life atmosphere to the frame.
The small plush doll held in hand served as an important visual focus for this casual outdoor photoshoot. Its hairstyle and eye color used the exact same reddish-brown tones as mine, offering a fun sense of breaking the fourth wall when held in hand. To keep hand gestures natural, I practiced holding poses in front of the mirror beforehand. Using this plushie to extend the visual line not only filled in negative space around the arms in the frame, but also made the overall atmosphere much warmer and approachable. When taking this set of photos, I deliberately avoided intense direct midday sunlight, choosing the late afternoon when light became softer. The setting was selected in a park green area with tall trees, where background tree trunks and green lawn created a very comfortable color contrast.
For the choice of camera angles, I leaned toward eye-level or slightly high-angle perspectives, which effectively shortened the distance between the subject and the lens in composition while reinforcing the character's obedient yet slightly stubborn expression. In the second photo, free from interfering elements, the subject's emotional expression felt exceptionally pure under minimal outdoor forest light. I specifically routed the headphone cable through the collar, simulating the realistic gesture of casually putting them on. For facial expressions, I didn't force a bright smile, maintaining instead a slightly zoned-out gaze looking straight ahead with a subtle, barely-there curl at the corners of my mouth. Capturing this micro-expression was intended to align with the character's trait in the story of appearing ordinary on the outside while concealing intense emotional waves deep inside.
Regarding post-processing, this photo maintained a restrained color grading approach. I avoided excessive highlight overexposure or harsh color filters, mainly adjusting the hues of green and skin tones to make environmental greens cleaner and more translucent while preserving authentic skin texture. I didn't perform excessive skin smoothing on the face, as the character setting itself carries a strong \"everyday person\" trait, where over-retouching would destroy the casual realism. Hair clips and stray hair placement were carefully considered to prevent an unnatural \"wearing a wig\" look.
The wind was quite strong on the day of the shoot, blowing strands of hair across my face from time to time, but this actually provided natural candid opportunities, giving the frame a vivid sense of breathing room. Completing this set of works went very smoothly without forcing exaggerated anime poses. I feel that completing a dialogue with the character through this relatively quiet, casual emotion is far more meaningful than merely imitating poses. This refreshing light makeup outfit and outdoor style fit her casual campus life appearance perfectly, which was precisely the state I wished to convey most. Through this work, I hope everyone can feel an Iseri Nina who is different from her shining stage persona, yet equally authentic and vibrant.
