[Luo Tianyi Cosplay] Racing Soul of Vsinger: Confident Moments on the Rooftop

Only fear of losing makes one nervous; wanting to win only brings excitement. This quote about competitive psychology fits my mindset perfectly during this Luo Tianyi race queen cosplay shoot. Rather than worrying about whether the final photos would turn out well, I enjoyed the sense of freedom sitting on top of the car with a checkered flag. Though we were in an open-air parking lot under harsh summer sunlight, this hard lighting gave the blue, white, and black Racing suit incredible visual depth.

A great deal of thought went into the details of this outfit. The detached white sleeves and blue-and-white off-the-shoulder vest design on top are very unique. A black leather choker with metal rings was added at the collar, preserving the playful spirit of the original character while introducing a touch of biker toughness. The weather on the shooting day was extremely cooperative. Although the rooftop offered no shade and the light was hard, the environment created an excellent high-contrast effect. Sitting on the roof of a dark blue sedan, the glossy reflection of the car body made the frame appear more three-dimensional, while highlighting body lines and leg extension. The background featured high-rise residential buildings, blue sky, and red stars or monitoring equipment on structures—these elements felt authentic and urban, adding a casual, grounded vibe compared to indoor studio shoots.

While preparing for this shoot, I reviewed many character settings for Luo Tianyi, who as a Vsinger has always represented a vibrant, confident virtual singer persona. Combined with this Racing suit, I wanted to convey the excitement of waiting at the starting line. Whether raising the checkered flag or holding the microphone as if commentating live, I strived to keep my gaze and posture confident and focused. Pose designs considered both fluidity and natural styling of sleeves, collar, and skirt—for instance, crossing legs front and back while seated better showcased the sock lettering and long leg lines.

The shooting process presented minor challenges. Adjusting postures on top of the car was tricky because smooth car paint gets slippery, requiring careful balance. Additionally, the wig had high hair volume; to prevent it from getting messy in rooftop winds, I used styling techniques to ensure the hair strands and prominent blue-and-black bow maintained optimal shape. As a note on Cosplay sharing, cosplay is not just about putting on clothes for photos, but briefly immersing oneself into the character's mental state and physical presence. The more I wanted to express this racing energy and vitality, the more I needed to find that inner excitement of \"wanting to win.\" Despite the hot sun during Rooftop photography, the final set met my expectations in color and emotional delivery, making it a exhilarating shoot experience.
