This set of Fujiwara no Mokou cosplay Convention photos was shot on-site at the CICF Expo. When it comes to this outfit, a lot of thought went into refining the textures and details. The top is made of off-white cotton-linen fabric with a natural vintage feel, featuring ruffled collars and lantern sleeves for a distinctly classic aesthetic. The satin red bow on the chest boasts intricate golden dragon and flame embroidery; to capture the dynamic essence of this Touhou Project character, I also selected matching golden flame patterns for the sleeves. The bottom features red velvet wide-leg trousers, where square fabric patches and suspender buckles hold the entire look in place. Although it is a trouser outfit, pairing it with flat Martin boots flatters the body shape nicely. Without stockings, the photoshoot focused on highlighting the garment's drape and rich texture. For makeup, light-colored contact lenses were paired with reddish-brown eyeshadow, complementing the long white wig with blunt bangs, while the patterned large red ribbon on top framed the face and matched the character well. The lighting that day was fantastic, especially the warm, soft backlighting near dusk. To avoid background passersby, we specifically used the glass curtain wall outside the mall as our backdrop. Throughout the shoot, the photographer and I constantly communicated on posing; for instance, leaning back against the wall with hands in pockets in Photo 5 shifted my center of gravity and avoided messy architecture in the background for a cleaner frame. Holding a prop cigarette added a relaxed feel to the hands while exuding a carefree attitude. Shooting outside crowded convention halls demands precise timing to maintain the character's aloof, independent presence and capture the right expression at the shutter click. The color contrast was also striking—the red and white palette popped dramatically against the blurred modern urban backdrop. Keeping a straight back was essential, as baggy trousers can make one look shorter, requiring slight body turns or raised-arm poses to elongate visual proportions. Overall, the outfit's texture, the interplay of light and shadow, and the character's persona are well reflected in these photos, creating a wonderful contrast with the lively convention atmosphere. Although exhausting, being able to engage in Cosplay sharing with fans who love this character brings immense satisfaction.
