[Skadi the Corrupting Heart Cosplay] Received the Most Perfect Hand-Painted Underglaze Color Freebie Live at Comicup 32

The single biggest surprise from my Comicup 32 trip was undoubtedly receiving this Hand-painted underglaze color badge. Getting my hands on the physical item, I was thoroughly awestruck by the sheer heart poured into it; the glossy glaze finish made the artwork look remarkably vibrant. As a convention freebie received at Comicup 32, it was an entirely unexpected treasure that I must cherish carefully. This time I cosplayed Skadi the Corrupting Heart from Arknights, making several specific adjustments to my makeup and styling to achieve better results for my convention photos.

For the wig, I selected a natural, soft silver-white shade, crafting airy, layered textured strands across the front bangs to frame my face while preserving the character's signature cold demeanor. For the eye makeup, alongside highly recognizable striking red contact lenses, I incorporated winged eyeliner and red blending across the lower eyelids to give my gaze an arresting presence. My lip makeup featured a brick-red shade with a matte finish—vibrant without being flashy—harmonizing smoothly with the overall red, black, and white color palette. Costume-wise, the outfit boasted exceptional craftsmanship. The outer layer used red velvet-textured fabric, displaying a high-end subtle pattern sheen under convention lighting. Pale teal-blue piping along the collar and cuffs served as the finishing touch, preventing the large swaths of red and black from looking oppressive while adding a breath of refreshing vitality. The black ruffled necktie at the throat offered rich layering, complemented by white pinstripe accents that held up flawlessly whether viewed from afar or in close-up detail shots. For props, I carried a custom black long-handled prop, accessorized with teal-and-green gradient wrist guards and black gloves, bringing the overall look to complete realization.

For outdoor location shooting, we picked a spot under the steel structure corridor outside the main exhibition hall. Natural sunlight lent 3D definition to facial features, while the semi-translucent white inner top caught outdoor light with subtle radiance; cutout pocket details exposed just the right amount of skin without feeling heavy. During shooting, I kept deliberating on how to convey this character's loneliness and aloofness, yet holding that hand-painted underglaze color badge softened my expression considerably. As a cosplayer, encountering such a completely handmade fan merchandise item right at an anime convention lets you truly feel the creator's passion. The atmosphere at Comicup 32 was incredible—many passing fans recognized this Arknights look, with several stopping by to swap freebies and take photos. Although standing all day was exhausting, static electricity made wig strands fly out slightly, and wearing heavy red garments inside the indoor hall for a full afternoon inevitably caused sweating, looking at this exquisite badge in my palm and having satisfying photos made all the hard work vanish into thin air.

The final makeup presentation aligned almost perfectly with my original vision. I feel that under the convention lighting and settings, capturing seven to eight tenths of Skadi the Corrupting Heart's cold, reserved aura fulfilled my primary goal for this shoot. This convention journey not only rewarded me with beloved fan merchandise, but also allowed me to feel the deep passion this community holds for creative works and characters. I hope to greet everyone again at future conventions in even better form!
