Today's studio shoot centered on Shu under the Arknights Ambience Synesthesia theme.
The layering of this wardrobe is remarkably intricate. The core garment features a pure white off-the-shoulder cut with oversized, sweeping sleeves detailed with cascaded ruffles and pleats that billow with exceptional drape in motion. The lower ensemble pairs with a silver-grey long skirt trimmed with golden geometric patterns and lace edging along the hem. To stay faithful to the character, I wore a long silver-white wig accented with blue dip-dyed strands, crowned by branch-like horn accessories weaving gold and blue hues, alongside a blue bird hairpin. Elf ears and blue contact lenses were equally indispensable, while a golden choker and pearl necklace at the throat enriched detail hierarchy further.
The session was completed at Taotao Studio. The interior staging was wonderfully meticulous: the backdrop was hung with a pure blue seamless curtain, framing an artificial white flowering tree surrounded by dark grey decorative boulders, with a water installation on the floor reflecting the subject's silhouette. The crowning touch came from the antique stone lanterns on either side glowing with warm amber illumination, injecting subtle warmth into an otherwise cool-toned environment.
Shooting on set was a true test of physical control. Holding a branch adorned with white blossoms while posing in voluminous Ancient style cosplay sleeves beside the waterside rockery demanded extreme caution to avoid stepping on the skirt hem or knocking over props. To harmonize with high-key diffused lighting, I continually angled myself toward the key light so the whites of my face and dress achieved optimal exposure without losing the blue highlights in the wig or the sheen of the golden horns. The contrast between cool blue backdrops with white silk and the warm amber stone lanterns resulted in finished captures that felt profoundly ethereal.
The styling presented a detached, dreamlike visual aesthetic. While the floor-length skirt concealed leg lines, the expansive flared sleeves and off-the-shoulder tailoring, combined with blue eyes and delicate cosmetics, made the character's presence exceptionally distinct. From fabric textures to scenic architecture, the entire set faithfully recreated that fantastical and romantic mood.
