[Kuda Izuna cosplay] Blue Archive: A Cool Invitation from the Summer Pool

The heat of summer and the coolness of the pool are a perfect match, and this time I prepared a refreshing set of Kuda Izuna Summer Film. The highlights of this outfit are the animal-eared sun hat on the head and the fluffy plush tail on the back. During outdoor swimming pool photography sessions, controlling the props is actually a major challenge because once the fluff of the tail gets wet, it becomes heavy and messy, so one must be extra careful when crouching and turning around. The small yellow crossbody bag is highly eye-catching in this summer outfit, paired with a red, blue, and white striped bikini and denim shorts, creating a powerful color clash. The red scarf adds extra layering without looking too heavy.

The light on the day of the shoot was very abundant, with the water surface reflecting shimmering waves. To give the frame a better sense of translucency, we looked for an ideal boundary between tree shade and the water. In terms of action design, we stayed as close as possible to the character's innocent and lively personality, such as crouching by the pool and looking up slightly, as well as kneeling down while hugging a large pink inflatable ball. This slightly playful yet composed state best embodies the characteristics of this swimsuit cosplay look. To maintain the fluffiness of the tail by the water, I needed to constantly brush the fur with my hands during breaks. Although the process was a bit tedious, seeing the effect presented through the lens made every effort completely worth it.

The choice of props for this shoot was also very deliberate. In addition to the tail and hat, that large pink sphere added vitality and fun to the image. Serving as both a foreground and an interactive prop, it beautifully balanced the composition of the frame. Doing character recreation by such a tropical-style pool, the accuracy is not only reflected in the clothing and makeup but also needs to blend into the free atmosphere of summer water activities. Kuda Izuna's slightly ditzy yet energetic state is exactly the key focus I wanted to express in this set. Through subtle adjustments of my gaze and posture, I hope everyone can feel a hint of coolness and comfort in the scorching summer through the screen.
