This shoot was actually prepared quite in a hurry, but fortunately the costume and props all arrived ahead of time. This uniform jacket has a lot of details like red cuffs and golden buttons, which takes some time to organize when putting it on. Especially that hat with a badge and a pink bow—to wear it straight without tilting, I repeatedly adjusted the angle several times. The blonde twin tails wig used two clip-on braids, and combined with the black bow hair accessories, I personally feel the accuracy of the overall look is quite good for this Uniform cosplay.
The shooting scene was chosen in front of the vanity table at home, mainly wanting to create a daily and somewhat cozy feeling. The teddy bear next to me with a blue plaid bowtie can be counted as a plus, and that doodle book with messy blue lines and drawn little animals were interaction props I specially prepared. I was actually quite relaxed during the shoot; for instance, when looking into the mirror to adjust my hat, that kind of natural snapshot felt much more expressive than intentionally posing. In the following sets of movements, the postures of pinching my cheeks and reaching out to pretend to grab something were to express the character's slightly playful yet innocent personality traits.
For the makeup, I focused on a reddish blending around the eyes, paired with pink lips, to highlight that youthful, innocent feel. During the shoot, I tried my best to keep my expressions vivid instead of intentionally making a cold face, because I feel the character's inherent temperament is highly lively. The lighting for the whole photo set was tuned to a warmer tone, and paired with that semi-translucent geometric halo effect on the top right, it added a bit of an anime vibe to the frame. In fact, the most interesting part of cosplay is not how high the accuracy is, but that after putting on these clothes, you can briefly immerse yourself into that character's mindset to make movements and expressions that match her personality. This attempt at using a drawing board and dolls as props is indeed much more vivid than simply standing still rigidly for photos. I hope this set of photos can convey that sense of ease and happiness I wanted to express in front of the lens, serving as a relatively satisfying answer sheet for this cosplay shoot recording a cute daily life.
