Finally, the Misono Mika cosplay finished photos from Blue Archive have been shot. Photography is by Tono Sakuya 2.0, and the entire shooting process went very smoothly.
To recreate Misono Mika, a lot of thought went into the makeup and styling. The Pink hair needed prior trimming and styling, and the arc of the straight bangs was adjusted several times. The contact lenses were chosen in a pinkish style, which, combined with the eye makeup, created an ethereal yet slightly detached feeling. The pink halo prop on top of the head is custom-made; it floats above the head without being too heavy to affect movement, while ensuring the glowing texture under strong light can be captured clearly.
On the costume side, this white short-sleeve dress has an exceptional number of details. The dark blue bow at the neckline features a golden cross-star badge right in the center, and the skirt hem is layered with deep purple lace along the edges. There are also small white wing decorations on the back sides of the skirt, which sway gently when moving. Wearing deep purple fabric wristbands paired with White stockings, the overall look is clean and sharp.
For props, an assault rifle with a white-and-purple color scheme featuring polka-dot patterns was prepared. The posture of holding the gun needs to balance with the elegance of the costume—it shouldn't look too hardcore, nor should it feel out of place. For the first photo, I chose a pose sitting on a stone pillar, holding the gun with hands crossed, letting the skirt naturally drape down to better showcase the White stockings and the layering of the entire outfit. The second photo is a standing pose looking back while holding the gun; light filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the photographer captured the halo effect, creating a great sense of atmosphere.
The scene is set among white pillars, a blue flower sea, and white picture frames, dotted with angel sculptures and candles. High-key lighting keeps the overall frame bright and dream-like. While shooting this set, I continuously adjusted my sitting posture and the angle of holding the gun, wanting to simultaneously present the character's purity and combat-ready feel.
After the overall shoot, I am extremely satisfied with the details and light-and-shadow effects of this set. Although walking around in high heels and a complex skirt hem was quite tiring, seeing the finished photos made everything worth it. There will be more details from this set coming up; feel free to leave a comment and let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see.
