[Tsukiyuki Miyako cosplay] Blue Archive: Tactical Girl's New Year Loadout

With assistance from boss Shina, I finally brought Tsukiyuki Miyako's tactical loadout to life in full accuracy. We selected a studio featuring a realistic pegboard Weapon wall, with cool-toned LED light strips running across the background, instantly instilling that imposing ambiance of a military armory.

For the outfit, a blue-and-white color-blocked sailor collar dress was paired with a tactical vest; the pink bowtie at the neckline serves as a visual focal point, creating a striking contrast against the monochrome Tactical gear. The wig was fitted with two mechanical ears and an illuminated halo. Although the halo was an added custom accessory, its brightness was carefully balanced so as not to overpower the subject. Knee pads paired with black platform boots grounded my stance, reinforcing the character's agile and mobile image.

As for props, we brought two long-barreled setups: one featuring a melee-style disc structure weapon, and the other a tactical rifle equipped with a scope and bipod. I carefully adjusted my grip angle when holding the firearm so the lines of the handguard and optic aligned seamlessly with my body posture. The ammo crates and black hard cases were arranged on the spot by the prop stylist, which unexpectedly added rich depth to the open floor.

The shooting process was physically demanding, especially holding static kneeling poses or side-aiming postures while holding prop guns. Maintaining steady balance was crucial, or the firearm would tilt off-axis. Fortunately, the final photos captured the prop's metallic sheen and fabric folds beautifully. The lighting designer added a cool blue rim light from the rear-side, pulling crisp 3D separation between the background wall and my silhouette.

As the New Year arrives, this set serves as my own little ritual. Fully locked into combat readiness, I hope everyone can face the new year like Miyako—meeting challenges with calm determination and unwavering focus. Every detail in these photos, from the wig parting to the decal paintwork on the props, was tuned to match the original lore of Blue Archive.
