This outdoor-style Summer beach shoot of Belle from Zenless Zone Zero turned out even better than I had envisioned.
To align seamlessly with the Summer beach concept, plenty of thought went into the styling. Blue hair tied into lively twintails paired with a bright orange bucket hat created an instant, bold visual contrast. For the top, I wore a sheer white cropped short-sleeved blouse adorned with tiny orange floral accents around the neckline and colorful graphic lettering across the chest, styled over color-coordinated orange shorts cinched by a slim black belt—making the entire palette intensely eye-catching. For makeup, green contact lenses were chosen to accentuate character traits, complemented by dark manicured nails, a silver chain necklace, and layered woven bracelets to maximize accessory details.
The shooting location was an atmospheric artificial sand set complete with faux palm trees, crisp white lounge chairs, an oversized blue inflatable swim ring, and a surfboard. The sun shone brilliantly that day, lending a clean, luminous translucency to the skin under natural light. In front of the camera, I explored varied poses to channel her personality. The shot lounging on the deck chair enjoying an ice cream bar is a personal favorite—parting my lips slightly as I bite into the crisp chocolate coating not only brought kinetic vitality to the frame, but also radiated a refreshing sense of effortless relaxation. Another stance leaning against a tree trunk while glancing back over my shoulder accentuated the waistline and garment silhouette, while the natural rim backlighting rendered delicate, glowing skin textures.
Shooting a sunny summer theme like this taught me that physical ease is everything: movements shouldn't feel rigid, but rather as if you are genuinely enjoying a seaside vacation. While sheer fabrics create appealing depth under intense sunlight, careful undergarment coordination is vital to maintain a clean aesthetic. Leveraging props was equally essential—the giant blue swim ring acted not just as background dressing, but as an interactive framing element. Even though shooting beneath the blazing heat was exhausting, seeing the finished frames bursting with radiant summer vigor made every moment worthwhile. Preserving these sunlit snapshots felt like taking a brief, rejuvenating holiday amidst a busy routine.
