[Luo Tianyi cosplay] Blue Stage Outfit & Baozi Plush: Summer Location Snapshot

Today, I put on this classic blue-and-white stage outfit of Luo Tianyi, brought along a custom baozi plush, and headed outdoors for a location snapshot session. The costume is rich in fine construction: the halter-neck design and bare-shoulder cut require a precision fit, so I secured the inside with three layers of fashion anti-slip tape and invisible straps. A delicate layer of ruffled lace lines the seam between the blue and white segments of the skirt, contrasting vibrantly with the bright yellow sash. The iconic green circular badges on the detached sleeves and the black fingerless gloves are essential accents; though they slightly limit forearm articulation, they are utterly indispensable for striking dynamic poses.

Atop my head sit the two bell-like hair accessories. For the twintails, I used an ash-silver wig that I manually trimmed and lightly curled, shaping her signature ahoge cowlick using hairspray and an internal wire core. The makeup focused on sculpting defined eye contours with upper and lower falsies, fitted with cyan-green cosmetic lenses to match Luo Tianyi's canon gaze. To keep the fiber texture sleek, I misted anti-frizz conditioner right before stepping into frame.

The shooting location was an orange architectural wall accented by geometric gray window frames; this warm backdrop provided an energetic complementary contrast against the cool blue-and-white tones of my outfit. Cradling that plump baozi plush added irresistible tactile softness. We rotated through several postures: the one-legged stance holding the baozi required core balance, anchoring my weight onto the left leg while pointing the right instep to showcase the leg contours of the black stockings (stockings cosplay) and the boot shaft height. Later, hugging the baozi against my chest and leaning slightly forward created an elongated silhouette. With the harsh outdoor sun, we waited until after 4:00 PM when the diffused golden-hour glow avoided blown-out highlights.

For body language, I kept movements bouncy and upbeat—lifting the plush high overhead with one arm or extending the other outward to maintain open spatial framing. To catch kinetic flare, the photographer had me execute gentle spins on the spot to freeze the pleated skirt mid-air. Because the fabrics are airy and light, even a soft breeze caught dramatic motion. The chunky-heeled boots in white-and-blue color blocking added flattering height without visual clunkiness, creating a pristine "absolute territory" (zettai ryouiki) above the over-the-knee socks that really anchors the look.

In post-production, we integrated blue-and-white geometric floating graphic accents around the head to echo her musical persona and virtual idol energy. I'm delighted with the final deliverables, especially how the blue boots and black over-the-knee stockings flatter leg proportions. While strolling in heeled boots wore me out, seeing the final frames made every moment worthwhile. With the high heat lately, make sure to stay hydrated and keep touch-up makeup handy when doing location shoots!
