After receiving the Convention photos from this shoot of Zenless Zone Zero Nico cosplay at the ijoy anime convention, I quickly sorted them out. Players familiar with this character should know that her look features a youthful yet slightly rebellious sporty style, so I paid extra attention to the fabrics and color coordination this time.

First, talking about the wig: long pink hair tangles easily at conventions. To restore the detail of the yellow hairclips in the hairstyle, I specifically layered the wig, not only styling it for fluffiness but also ensuring the bangs fell naturally in front of the eyes. For makeup, the lower eyelid blending and winged eyeliner highlighted the character's energetic and shrewd side. The costume was entirely custom-made—a pink-and-blue color-blocked cropped top, paired with blue shorts featuring plush fur trim, along with the extensive use of fishnet elements, making the overall Fishnet stockings outfit look exceptionally refreshing and full of Anime cosplay vibes. The green heart decoration on the thigh strap and the little frog plush pendant at the waist were all carefully included. For shoes, I chose chunky white platform sneakers with pink and red straps, echoing the top and hair color to achieve a very cohesive overall palette.

For this shoot, I specifically brought along the iconic white suitcase as a prop. This suitcase actually has some weight; to convey that effortless, relaxed feel shown in the photos, I adjusted my center of gravity many times. In the first photo, pushing the suitcase forward with one hand actually made my arm quite sore, but to achieve great results, I worked hard to keep my expression controlled. The pose in the second photo is actually my favorite: gesturing with one hand to echo the hair accessories while letting the other hand hang naturally holding the suitcase, combined with the leg stance and the sheer texture of the fishnets, the whole body proportions look great and fit the character's persona of appearing slightly tsundere while actually being reliable. In the third photo, slinging the suitcase over my shoulder with hands on my hips perfectly matches her customary confident, bold swagger in the game.

The convention venue was packed with people that day, and the lighting was quite complicated; overhead spotlights casting down easily created shadows on the face, so the timing of each shot was crucial. The photographer was very patient, helping capture dynamic movements from various angles. The background blur on passersby was handled well, keeping the focus on the subject while preserving the lively convention ambiance.

The joy of doing cosplay lies not only in replicating the appearance, but in that split second of putting on the outfit and picking up the prop, as if genuinely stepping into the world of New Eridu and experiencing the everyday life of that Gentle House character. Although my feet were indeed sore after a whole day and the wig got a bit messy from sweat, seeing these frozen moments made every effort feel worthwhile. Overall, I am very satisfied with these sample shots, documenting a full day's work at ijoy, which will serve as a wonderful memory for the future.
