The concept for this shoot centered on that 'melon-flavored kid' vibe, skewing toward a sweet, loli-esque aesthetic. The wardrobe featured a tailored deep-navy double-breasted uniform; the pairing of golden round buttons with bright cyan trim delivered bold visual punch. The blue-and-white brassard bearing concentric circle insignias on the right arm, alongside the golden braided cord tassels draping from the chest, were vital anchors for authentic detail replication. To fit the Shupo Twins' character design, the wig was chosen in a soft mint-green shade with long curls and blunt bangs, finished with delicate textured waves toward the tips. To keep the floating concentric-ring halo prop from disturbing the hairstyle during takes, its mounting rig was tested and recalibrated three times before the cameras rolled.

The interior set was shot against a seamless pure white studio backdrop to accentuate the contrast between the subject and props. We incorporated classic school desks and wooden chairs as props. I wore pure white full-length tights paired with short white gloves, perching atop the wooden desktop to showcase leg contours. White stockings under high-key white backgrounds are notoriously tricky for retaining depth, demanding precise lighting angles. The photographer set a softbox from a three-quarter front angle to curb highlight blowout while preserving the tactile fabric grain of the uniform and hosiery sheen. The bright cyan trim tracing the skirt echoed the jacket above; whether crossing legs or tucking them cross-legged on the desk, the fall of the skirt pleats needed careful smoothing to prevent visual clutter.

To align with the sweet loli persona described in the concept, I incorporated several thoughtful gestures into the posing choreography: giving a one-handed thumbs-up, holding both fists against the chest in a cheering stance, or lightly touching an imaginary cap visor with one hand. The black wired microphone was a spontaneous interactive prop; because loose cables can easily look messy on camera, letting the wire drape loosely along my torso instead added an organic slice-of-life charm. When showcasing my arms, I engaged my biceps slightly to highlight the tailoring of the cuffs and brassard. Fastening the elf ear prosthetics required immense patience to blend their seams into the wig fibers; during three-quarter facial profiles, the transition between ear tips and wig strands required constant scrutiny.

Because this portrays a twin concept, even though shot solo, I strove to channel the intuitive chemistry and playful spark shared between the two sisters. While seated on the desk, leg positioning was the hardest variable to balance: elongating the White stockings on camera while eliminating any risk of wardrobe slips meant leaning against the chair frame or using calves for subtle structural leverage. Looking at the finished images, the relaxed, slightly languid desk postures paired with alert, lively eye contact achieved the quintessential 2D academic charm I had envisioned.

Post-processing refrained from heavy alterations, focusing instead on white balance calibration to ensure the deep navy uniform and mint-green curls popped with absolute clarity against the white void. The skin retained its organic texture without aggressive smoothing, as preserving genuine pore texture gives portraits a much more tangible presence. This Blue Archive Tachibana Hikari and Tachibana Nozomi cosplay project—part of the 2D Vision Project—proved to be an immensely satisfying experiment; the seamless white backdrop elevated the character styling and color blocking to perfection, yielding an impeccably clean and vibrant ambiance.
